IFS (Indian Foreign Service/Indian Forest Services)

IFS - Indian Forest Services

Indian Forest services is one of the Civil Services of India and belongs to the All
India Services group, with other two All India Services being the Indian
Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS).
The Indian Forest Service was made in 1966 under the All India Services
Act, 1951 by the Government of India. The fundamental explanation
behind formation of this administration, to secure, monitors, and recover
the woods assets.
Previously, the Imperial Forestry Service existed during the British Raj from 1865
to 1935. Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, under
the Government of India, is the cadre controlling authority of Indian Forest
Service.

It is one of the 3 All India Services : -

1. Indian Forest Service (IFS)

2. Indian Police Service (IPS)

3. Indian Administrative Service (IAS)

IFS - Indian Foreign Service

The Indian Foreign Service was shaped on 9 October 1946 by Government


of India. The Foreign Secretary of India is the regulatory leader of the
Indian Foreign Service. These official manages the outside undertakings,
exchange connection, tact, and can likewise be deputed to huge
organizations like UNESCO, UNO, SAARC and that's only the tip of the
iceberg.

Indian Foreign Service is the administrative diplomatic civil service under Group
A and B of the Central Civil Services of the executive branch of Indian Government.
It is one of the two premier Civil Services, as appointment to IFS renders a person
ineligible to reappear in Examination of Civil Services.

Indian Foreign Service (IFS) is not at all like some other Civil Service, for
example, Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or Indian Police Service (IPS).
An IFS officer burns through two-third of her profession time abroad and
one and only third in India at the central command of the Ministry of
External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi.

After joining the IFS, for which one must be by and large at the highest
point of the positioning request in Civil Services Examination (CSE)
directed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India, one is
sent to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration
(LBSNA) in Mussooire for preparing for a time of three months where she is
known as Foreign Service Probationer.

After completing the three-month preparing, which includes preparing in


numerous controls including an outside dialect, horse riding and tracking
in high Himalayas, a Foreign Services Probationer moves to the Foreign
Service Institute situated in New Delhi.

IFS mean Indian Foreign Service or Indian forest service?


Both IFS since the acronyms is same for both .But you need to get the
difference between both .Actually upsc conducts examination for both
Indian Foreign Service and Indian forest service.

Difference between both Indian foreign service or Indian forest


service examination:
1. Going through Indian foreign minister you can become embassy of your
country in different nations. Indian forest service you can become forest
office in different regions.
2. Going through civil service examination you will get the Indian Foreign
Service .But for forest service you will have different notification for it by
UPSC.
3. The age limits for foreign and forest service .The age limit should be from
21 to 30 years.
4. In the expectation of job positions and salaries both are different.

Eligibility criteria:
Indian Foreign Service Eligibility Criteria:1. You must be a citizen of India.
2. You must have completed Graduation degree or equivalent in any
discipline from a recognized university.
3. You must be within age 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable to
reserved category candidates as per government rules.
4. You must be physically and mentally fit.

Indian Forest Service Eligibility Criteria:1. You must be a citizen of India.


2. You must have completed Bachelors degree with at least one of the
subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany,
Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a
Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized
university.
3. You must be within age 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable to
reserved category candidates as per government rules.
4. You must be physically and mentally fit.
