Im applying to Warsaw School of Economics in Poland, in hope that i
would be able to be placed in a new environment to immerse in a culture
that is different from my own and to experience life independently. Most importantly WSE is a key choice as it is a specialized university in the area of Economics which is my intended major. Also it would be an opportunity to not only interact with individuals coming from an array of different backgrounds but a chance to learn economics from another university's perspectives. On a whole, i am a rather adventurous individual and i absolutely enjoy exploring new cultures and places. Poland is a country full of rich history and culture waiting to be explored, hence in my travel to Poland i'd wish to be exposed to such new knowledge. In my past academic years i have been involved in both sports and the arts. I was part of the Saints touch rugby team in which i participated in various competitions. Prior to that, i was exposed to the world of theatre when i joined Anderson Theatre Circle (ATC) as a budding dramatist. During which i took part in the Singapore Youth Festival performances. I also represented my school as a core group representative in 2007's Temasek Seminar where we formulated rules for the tagline competition and planned the awards ceremony. My time in NUS has gradually made me more determined about excelling in the area of Economics, my intended major of study. In semester 1, i averaged a CAP score of 4.25.
