Till Him
The next song is from the beloved musical comedy The Producers. Max
and Leo are two con men whose crazy plan to purposefully produce one
of the worst musicals on Broadway has gone a little awry. Max finds
himself in jail awaiting trial for swindling. At his trial, Leo shows up to
convince the judge that Max is a good man. Please welcome Mike
Mahoney and Quinn Furnald, singing Till Him from The Producers.
Falling Slowly
Our next performers are singing a selection from the modern Broadway
musical Once. The musical centers on the relationship of two characters,
referred to only as Guy and Girl, as they form a band and a strong bond
that transcends each obstacle they face. Please welcome Hayley Pellis
and Markus Ratsimor, singing Falling Slowly from Once.
Youre Nothing Without Me
Our next song comes from the musical City of Angels, a musical that
jumps between the real world in which a writer is trying to turn his novel
into a screenplay and the world of the fictional film. In this number, the
writer has a fight with the main character of his novel and film. Please
welcome Charlie Willcockson and Max Mazzarino, singing Youre
Nothing Without Me from City of Angels.
Santa Fe
Next, we have a selection from the musical Newsies. This musical
focuses on the young, orphaned and homeless boys who delivered the
papers during the time of The Newsboys Strike of 1899. In this number,
Jack tells his friend, nicknamed Crutchie, of his plans to leave New York
forever for Santa Fe. Please welcome Quinn Furnald and Ian Mehl
singing Santa Fe from Newsies.
Seasons of Love
Our final number of the night comes from the classic musical RENT.
This musical centers on a group of bohemian artists struggling to live in
New York during the time of the AIDs epidemic. RENT is a story of
friendship and the enduring power of love. Here is the entire company
singing Seasons of Love.
