Dance at the Gym


Our show opens tonight with a dance number from the Broadway classic
West Side Story. Two rival gangsthe New York-native Jets and the
Puerto Rican Sharksfind themselves at a neighborhood dance where
they try to keep the tension low. This dance was choreographed by our
very own Ian Mehl, Brigitte Francis, Quinn Furnald and Hannah Mehl.
One Feathered Tail of Miss Gertrude McFuzz
Next we have Cassidy Marturana and Tina Dornbusch singing The One
Feathered Tail of Miss Gertrude McFuzz from Seussical the Musical.
Gertrude is a sweet bird but she fears he lackluster tail is not enough to
impress the absentminded Horton the Elephant. Mayzie, whose over-thetop tail matches her personality, offers Gertrude some advice. Lets
welcome Cassidy and Tina to the stage.
I Dreamed a Dream
The next few songs come from a Broadway classic: Les Miserables. Les
Miz tells the story of redemption, survival and love in post-Revolution
France. First tonight we have Caroline Lamport singing, I Dreamed a
Dream. In this song, Fantine has just lost her job unfairly and looks
upon her life in despair.
Stars
Next, we have Jesse Hann singing Stars from Les Miz. This song
encompasses the goals and perseverance of Javert, a ruthless cop with an
intense determination to undermine the musicals protagonist, Jean
Valjean. Lets welcome Jesse to the stage.

A Little Fall of Rain


Our next song is A Little Fall of Rain from Les Miz. In this song,
Eponine is comforted by her love Marius as she suffers a battle wound.
Eponine, however, has only ever loved Marius from afar because his
love lies with another woman. Please welcome Jessica Fielding and
Michael Mahoney, singing A Little Fall of Rain.
Tonight
Our next performance features another song from West Side Story. Tony,
a former member of the Jets, and Maria, whose family connections tie
her to the Sharks, are star-crossed lovers. But they must keep their love a
secret for fear of what their friends and family will do to separate them.
In this song, Tony and Maria fall in love and look forward to seeing each
other again. Please welcome Ian Mehl and Brigitte Francis, singing
Tonight from West Side Story.
I Just Cant Walk Away
Our next song comes from the Broadway musical Spiderman: Turn off
the Dark. Mary Jane Watson is upset with her boyfriend, Peter Parker,
for missing the opening night of her play. She thinks it is best to take a
break from their relationship. What she doesnt know is that her
boyfriend is also the high-flying superhero Spiderman. Please welcome
Lily Ayotte and Jack Love, singing I Just Cant Walk Away from
Spiderman: Turn off the Dark.
Just One Person
The next song in our program comes from Snoopy: The Musical. This
musical features the beloved characters from the Peanuts comic strip,
with an emphasis on Snoopy and his adventures throughout the year.

Till Him
The next song is from the beloved musical comedy The Producers. Max
and Leo are two con men whose crazy plan to purposefully produce one
of the worst musicals on Broadway has gone a little awry. Max finds
himself in jail awaiting trial for swindling. At his trial, Leo shows up to
convince the judge that Max is a good man. Please welcome Mike
Mahoney and Quinn Furnald, singing Till Him from The Producers.
Falling Slowly
Our next performers are singing a selection from the modern Broadway
musical Once. The musical centers on the relationship of two characters,
referred to only as Guy and Girl, as they form a band and a strong bond
that transcends each obstacle they face. Please welcome Hayley Pellis
and Markus Ratsimor, singing Falling Slowly from Once.
Youre Nothing Without Me
Our next song comes from the musical City of Angels, a musical that
jumps between the real world in which a writer is trying to turn his novel
into a screenplay and the world of the fictional film. In this number, the
writer has a fight with the main character of his novel and film. Please
welcome Charlie Willcockson and Max Mazzarino, singing Youre
Nothing Without Me from City of Angels.
Santa Fe
Next, we have a selection from the musical Newsies. This musical
focuses on the young, orphaned and homeless boys who delivered the
papers during the time of The Newsboys Strike of 1899. In this number,
Jack tells his friend, nicknamed Crutchie, of his plans to leave New York
forever for Santa Fe. Please welcome Quinn Furnald and Ian Mehl
singing Santa Fe from Newsies.

Seasons of Love
Our final number of the night comes from the classic musical RENT.
This musical centers on a group of bohemian artists struggling to live in
New York during the time of the AIDs epidemic. RENT is a story of
friendship and the enduring power of love. Here is the entire company
singing Seasons of Love.
