Hymn of Praise

Unison Scripture
GALATIANS 6:9-10 (NRSV)

THE LORD IS MY LIGHT

So let us not grow weary in doing what

is right, for we will reap at harvest time,
if we do not give up. 10So then, whenever
we have an opportunity, let us work for
the good of all, and especially for those
of the family of faith.

The Lord is my light and my salvation;

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?

CHORUS

Whom shall I fear? Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life,
Whom shall I fear?

VERSE 2

In the time of trouble, He shall hide me;

In the time of trouble, He shall hide me;
In the time of trouble, He shall hide me;
Whom shall I fear?

GALATIANS 6:9-10 (MSG)

So lets not allow ourselves to get
fatigued doing good. At the right time
we will harvest a good crop if we dont
give up, or quit. Right now, therefore,
every time we get the chance, let us
work for the benefit of all, starting
with the people closest to us in the
community of faith.
9-10

GALATIANS 6:9-10 (NKJV)

And let us not grow weary while doing
good, for in due season we shall reap
if we do not lose heart. 10Therefore, as
we have opportunity, let us do good to
all, especially to those who are of the
household of faith.
9

VERSE 3

Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage;

Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage;
Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage;
He shall strengthen thine heart.

GALATIANS 6:9-10 (CEV)

Dont get tired of helping others. You
will be rewarded when the time is right,
if you dont give up. 10We should help
people whenever we can, especially if
they are followers of the Lord.

the temple. With it they paid those who worked on the temple of the LORDthe carpenters and builders, 12the

Project Goals

Leadership Excellence in Environmental Design (LEED)

Silver Certification
Reduce energy costs by 25%
Green Roof
Involve community contractors and returning citizens

Proposed Construction Activity

Over the Next 2 Weeks
Landscaping - Substantial completion of all work up to patio prep. Patio door prep and door
ordering. Stage removal and interior opening for the patio door.
Additional Roofing Work - Capping the roof edges, vegetated roof installation, scupper installation
(Buildings with railed rooftops can construct scuppers to allow rainwater drain off, instead of
pooling within the railing of the roof.)
Concrete - Finish remaining concrete and asphalt work.
Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) - Work on automated controls, prep work for rooftop
units and boiler activation, including temporary heat analysis activity.
Electrical - Prep for HVAC current & temp activations and overall system analysis.
Masonry - Scuppers, overflows, boiler room opening prep and possible patio opening.
Other - Pre-preparation for interior painting and bathroom work.

Alerts

As the new heating and air conditioning equipment is being constructed and
installed, interior temperatures may vary widely, and will be dependent on
exterior weather to a great degree. The Sanctuary is expected to come online in
early-December, and office areas in mid-December.
In December, work will be beginning on new floors in the Atrium,
Fellowship Hall, and the halls near Rooms 116, 120, etc. This reduces our
spaces for activities and events. Ministries are encouraged to seek outside meeting spaces. Guest and
Member Services is available to assist you as needed.

Ace Hardware

For the past several years, efforts to attract and include more African-Americans to
professional baseball on the field, in management and particularly, at the executive level
are mixed at best. The Chicago Cubs have had a spate of great black players but until
recently, that did not include anyone in the front office.
Julian Green is not only the stellar Vice President
of Communications and Community Affairs for the
team but is also a proud graduate of the Alabama
Agricultural and Mechanical University, a historically
black college, one of many the Endeleo Institute
supports in terms of viable and affordable options
particularly for first generation, low-income students.
Julian is rooted on the south side having graduated
from both Percy Julian High School (an Endeleo
partner) and McDade Elementary. Today, he is a major
cog in a $2B franchise.
We honored Julian at Trinity last year at our Black College Dinner Gala for his leadership
and we look forward to collaborating with him and other awe-inspiring leaders so that
more of our young people recognize and understand that they can indeed come up aces
with solid direction and education.
