Lanus was incorporated in 2005 with corporate headquarters, manufacturing and supplies API 6D, API 6A,
API 607 valves. Our cooperated factories with API 6A,API 6D and API 607 monogram license holder and our cooperated plant
is certified to ISO9001: 2000.

Class
AA

Standard Trim
For essential noncorrosive liquids or gases, like crude and refined oils, natural or refined
gases and processed hydrocarbons. Typical uses are wellheads, manifolds, flowlines and
other similar installations requiring a through conduit valve.

BB

Stainless Trim
Suitable where the corrosion resistance of 13 Chrome Stainless Steel internal parts is
desirable, Also usable for mildly corrosive of the internal body surfaces is acceptable.
Recommended when partial pressure of CO2 is greater than 30.

CC

Full Stainless Trim


Suitable for any liquids or gaseous product where the resistance of the 13 Chrome
Stainless Steel is adequate. Also used where the resistance of Stainless Steel is
desirable from the standpoint of product purity. Recommended when partial pressure of
CO2 is greater than 30.

DD

Low Temperature - Sour Gas and Oil


Recommended for sour gas and oil where resistance to Hydrogen Sulfide embitterment is
needed. Also suitable for other chemicals, products or hydrocarbons when H2S is
present. May be used when CO2 is present in smaller amount than H2S.

EE

Sour Gas and Oil


Recommended for sour gas and oil where resistance to Hydrogen Sulfide embitterment is
needed. Also suitable for other chemicals, products or hydrocarbons when H2S is
present. May be used when CO2 is present in smaller amount than H2S.

FF

Stainless Sour Gas and Oil Trim


Recommended for sour gas and oil when the CO2 exceeds the H2S content. It provides
resistance to the metal loss type of corrosion usually associated with CO2 plus
resistance to Hydrogen Sulfide embitterment.

EE

Waterflood (Uninhibited)
Recommended for use in untreated or uninhibited brackish saline water typically
associated with oilfield water flood projects and/or disposal wells in which the internal
plastic coating of the body surface provides resistance to salt water corrosion. The
internal parts are also resistant to Sulfide embitterment and corrosion.
Special trims and temperature ranges available upon request.

Tests that shall be carried out
- All valve models shall be subjected to a Hydrostatic Body Test. The testing demands increase with
the PSL level as described in Ch.7 of API Spec 6A, 19th Edition.
- The valve models which are of full-bore type shall be subjected to a Drift Test. The test shall be
performed in accordance with section 7.4.9.3.1 in API Spec 6A, 19th Edition.
- Hydrostatic Body Testing shall be performed before Drift Testing.
- Performance Requirement 2 (PR2) type valves shall be subjected to additional testing, as described
in Annex I of
API Spec 6A, 19th Edition.
- Charpy testing shall be performed in accordance with Table B1 in Ch.2, Sec.2 of DNV-OS-E101
"Drilling Plant",
October 2006.
- Each valve that is to be used in sour service (H2S) shall be hardness-tested individually to verify
that the
NACE MR 0175 hardness values have been satisfied.
- NDE/NDT procedures shall be performed in accordance with Ch.2, Sec.6 of DNV-OS-E101 "Drilling
Plant", October 2006.
Marking of product
The valves should be marked in accordance with Chapter 8 in API Spec 6A, 19th Edition. This
includes markings of:
- ISO 423
- Temperature Rating (K to X)
- Material Class (AA to HH)
- Product Specification Level (PSL1, PSL2, PSL3, PSL3G or PSL 4)
- Performance Requirement Level (PR1 or PR2)
- Working Pressure

Material specification
The materials used shall be in compliance with 4.2.3 of API Spec 6A, 19th Edition. All materials shall
be of a particular material class, as described in Table 3 on page 23 of API Spec 6A, 19th Edition.
All valves shall have a written material specification(s). This material specification shall define:
Mechanical property requirements (all PSL levels)
Material qualification (all PSL levels)
Heat treatment procedure including cycle time, quenching practice and temperatures with
tolerances and cooling
media (all PSL levels)
NDE requirements (all PSL levels)
Allowable melting practice(s) (PSL2 to PSL4)
Forming practice(s), including hot-working and cold-working practices (PSL2 to PSL 4)
Heat treatment equipment calibration (PSL2 to PSL4)
Documentation to be kept on file by the manufacturer
Records that substantiate conformance of material classes DD, EE, FF and HH equipment to NACE
MR 0175
requirements
Valve (assembled) pressure test records, including actual test pressures and holding period duration
Documentation requirements as listed in 7.5.2 in API Spec 6A, 19th Edition. The requirements
increase with the
PSL level.
Certificate retention survey
For retention of the Type Approval, Det Norske Veritas' representative shall carry out biennial
Product Audits.
Other conditions/comments:
Valves operating as Safety Valves shall be of PR2 level and meet the requirements in Annex I of
API Spec 6A, 19th
Edition.
Valves that are intended for operation in sour service (H2S) shall be in compliance with NACE MR
0175.
Only valves of material classes DD, EE, FF or HH are suited for sour service.
Valves with temperature rating X shall meet the added requirements in Annex G of API Spec 6A,
19th Edition. This
includes a derating of the yield strength of the material.
This document may be used as part of the documentation required to comply with European Union
(EU) Directives
referenced in NPD's Acts, regulations and provisions for the petroleums activities. It should
however be noted that

the scope covered by this document does not necessarily cover all aspects required to issue the EU
Declaration of
Conformity and to affix the CE-mark. It is the manufacturer's/operator's responsibility to ensure
compliance with
relevant EU Directives.
The type approval referring to SI 1992/2932 could contribute to the design verification
requirements of SI 1996/913
on a case by case basis.
If a valve is to be used as part of a Well Control System, the valves shall be provided with remote
control and, where
installed subsea, shall be of fail-to-close type. The valves shall be located so that they are
protected against damage
from falling objects.
This certificate replaces Type Approval Certificate D-3110.

At Lanus, Producing quality Gate Valves is not just about ensuring customer satisfaction or enabling
energy production It is about preventing environmental damage.
The sole purpose of every gate valve manufactured or distributed by Lanus is to control the flow of
volatile, often toxic, liquids and gases and keep them from being emitted into the atmosphere or
spilled on the ground or into the water.
That is why every gate valve we sell is designed and manufactured to exceed standards set forth by
the American Petroleum Institute [ API ] Specification 6A, Latest Edition and why Lanus quality
systems and the quality systems
Of all of our suppliers are certifield by API and/or the international Standard Organization [ ISO ].
It is also why we spend so much time working closely with our customers and suppliers to continuously
improve the quality of our gate valves and the efficiency of our systems because we recognize that
the quality of our valves
Can positively impact the quality of our environment.
It is our primary concert and the reason we exist.

The seats are fully floating, combined with a solid slab gate to give a true downstream seal resulting
in low operating forces. Being fully symmetrical it will effectively seal pressure without risk of
blockage. Metal-to-metal seal between gate and seats. Special gasket on back groove of seats. Full
metal-to-metal seats are available on request (metallic back seat gasket). Gate and seat replacement
is possible, with the valve in line, without the need for special tools. Upper and lower thrust bearings
isolated from well fluid, minimizing torque. Stem packing can be re-energized with valve under
pressure. Stem packing TFE glass and carbon filled and soft packing. Alternative stem packing special
gasket with internal spring. The valve body may be grease filled through suitable fittings provided on
body. To close valve rotate the hand-wheel clockwise, gate moves downward, strikes the body; then
rotate the hand-wheel clockwise half turn to permit a free moving of gate pressure. To open valve,
rotate the hand-wheel counter-clockwise until strikes the bonnet. Floating seats assure valve seal in
either open or closed position

face. TFE insert assures a wiping action on sealing surfaces, while seal is of metal-to-metal type. Full

Structure instruction
The product is designed and manufactured according to API Spec 6A Equipment Specification of Wellhead &
Xmas tree and matched and interchangeable with any equipment which conforms to API 6A specification.
It creates the metal-to-metal seal by the pressure of the medium, the more the pressure is, the better the
sealing effect is. Anytime the valve chamber can bear the pressure of the pipeline.
Valve body is machined of alloy steel forging with a stronger machinery properties and reliable performance.
Bonnet is connected with valve body with bolt, the seals include the sealing ring in the bonnet and the seal in
the valve body;
The sealing face between valve core and valve body is welded with hard alloy with good abrasion resistance and
anti-scour; the valve core is made of sulfide-resistance steel and the others adopt the process of hardness
limit so the valve is able to be used in H2S condition.
The sealing-face of the valve core and the valve body is bead-welded with carbide, plus rubber seals, which
has.
Operation instruction
According to medium flow direction and by the flow direction indicating plate of the valve, the valve is
installed. As positive flowing, The medium lifts the valve core and pass easily; If no positive medium pressure,
valve core will self-shut off valve gate under self-weight and springs tensile force, the back medium flowing
stop.
Maintenances
The valve should be placed in the dry and airy room, and the inlet and outlet are sealed properly.
When the product is stored, the end flanges should be coated by oil against rust and dirt pollution.
The valve-core and the valve-seat must be examined every in a well time. The attrition rate will decide
whether they are used by upset or are replaced.
Every seal element is replaced according to its examination.
There is a bit leak at a couple of seals of valve, and the sealing-face may have scratch or wear. Renovation will
be done under face-off and ground finish.
As leak appears at the middle one of the valve bores, ring gasket should be replaced.

the technologies introduced from Lanus.

NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 gives requirements and recommendations for the selection and
qualification of carbon and low-alloy steels, corrosion-resistant alloys, and other alloys for service in
equipment used in oil and natural gas production and natural gas treatment plants in H2S-containing
environments, whose failure could pose a risk to the health and safety of the public and personnel or
to the environment. It can be applied to help avoid costly corrosion damage to the equipment itself.
NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 consists of three standards, four Technical Corrigenda (addenda), and
three Technical Circulars available through NACE as a complete package: Part 1: General principles
for selection of cracking-resistant materials; Part 2: Cracking-resistant carbon and low alloy steels,
and the use of cast irons; Part 3: Cracking-resistant CRAs (corrosion-resistant alloys) and other

MR0103-2007 Materials Resistant to Sulfide Stress Cracking in Corrosive
Petroleum Refining Environments
Defines material requirements for resistance to sulfide stress cracking (SSC) in sour refinery
process environments (i.e., environments that contain wet hydrogen sulfide [H2S]). The term "wet
H2S cracking" as used in the refining industry covers a range of damage mechanisms that can occur
due to the effects of hydrogen charging in wet H2S refinery or gas plant process environments. One
of the types of material damage that can occur as a result of hydrogen charging is sulfide stress
cracking (SSC) of hard weldments and microstructures, which is addressed by this standard. This
standard is intented to be utilized by refineries, equipment manufacturers, engineering contractors,
and construction contractors.

Methodology
Reaffirmed in 2008! Addresses the situation in which a portion of a pipeline has been identified as an
area of interest with respect to SCC based on its history, operations, and risk assessment process
and it has been decided that direct assessment is an appropriate approach for integrity assessment.
The standard provides guidance for managing SCC by selecting potential pipeline segments, selecting
dig sites within those segments, inspecting the pipe and collecting and analyzing data during the dig,
establishing a mitigation program, defining the reevaluation interval, and evaluating the effectiveness
of the SCCDA process.

API SPEC 6D
Specification for Pipeline Valves. API Specification 6D is an adoption of ISO 14313: 1999, Petroleum and Natural Gas
Industries-Pipeline Transportation Systems-Pipeline Valves. This International Standard specifies requirements and gives
recommendations for the design, manufacturing, testing and documentation of ball, check, gate and plug valves for
application in pipeline systems.
API 526
Flanged Steel Pressure Relief Valves. The standard is a purchase specification for flanged steel pressure relief valves.
Basic requirements are given for direct spring-loaded pressure relief valves and pilot-operated pressure relief valves as
follows: orifice designation and area; valve size and pressure rating, inlet and outlet; materials; pressure-temperature
limits; and center-to-face dimensions, inlet and outlet.
API 527
Seat Tightness of Pressure Relief Valves R(2002). Describes methods of determining the seat tightness of metal- and
soft-seated pressure relief valves, including those of conventional, bellows, and pilot-operated designs.
ANSI/API STD 594
Check Valves: Flanged, Lug, Wafer and Butt-welding. API Standard 594 covers design, material, face-to-face dimensions,
pressure-temperature ratings, and examination, inspection, and test requirements for two types of check valves.
API 598
Valve Inspection and Testing. The standard covers inspection, supplementary examination, and pressure test requirements
for both resilient-seated and metal-to-metal seated gate, globe, plug, ball, check, and butterfly valves. Pertains to
inspection by the purchaser and to any supplementary examinations the purchaser may require at the valve manufacturer's
plant.
ANSI/API 599
Metal Plug Valves - Flanged, Threaded and Welding Ends. A purchase specification that covers requirements for metal plug
valves with flanged or butt-welding ends, and ductile iron plug valves with flanged ends, in sizes NPS 1 through NPS 24,
which correspond to nominal pipe sizes in ASME B36.10M. Valve bodies conforming to ASME B16.34 may have flanged end
and one butt-welding end. It also covers both lubricated and nonlubricated valves that have two-way coaxial ports, and
includes requirements for valves fitted with internal body, plug, or port linings or applied hard facings on the body, body
ports, plug, or plug port.
ANSI/API 600
Bolted Bonnet Steel Gate Valves for Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries - Modified National Adoption of ISO
10434:1998.
API 602
Compact Steel Gate Valves - Flanged, Threaded, Welding, and Extended-Body Ends. The standard covers threaded-end,
socket-welding-end, butt-welding-end, and flanged-end compact carbon steel gate valves in sizes NPS4 and smaller.
ANSI/API 603
Corrosion-Resistant, Bolted Bonnet Gate Valves - Flanged and Butt-Welding Ends. The standard covers corrosion-resistant
bolted bonnet gate valves with flanged or butt-weld ends in sizes NPS 1/2 through 24, corresponding to nominal pipe sizes
in ASME B36.10M, and Classes 150, 300, and, 600, as specified in ASME B16.34.
ANSI/API 607
Fire Test for Soft-Seated Quarter Turn Valves. The standard covers the requirements for testing and evaluating the
performance of straightway, soft-seated quarter-turn valves when the valves are exposed to certain fire conditions
defined in this standard. The procedures described in this standard apply to all classes and sizes of such valves that are
