Biography

Piotr ukowski was born March 11, 1982 in Poznan. In 2004 he graduated with distinction the
Ignacy Jan Paderwskis Academy of Music, since then he has been working there as an assistant professor.
Piotr ukowski has been giving concerts in numerous places, both in Poland and abroad:
in Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Island, Italy, Japan,
Slovakia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the USA.
He has been giving masterclassess in Grand Valley State University, Arizona State University and
University of Redlands in USA, in Conservatorio di Musica E.F. Dall Abaco in Verona ( Italy ),
Conservatorio di Musica "G. B. Martini" in Bolonia ( Italy), Instituto Musicale "Vincenzo Bellini" in
Caltanissetta (Italy),
Conservatorio Statale G.P. Da Palestrina in Cagliari (Italy), Anadolu Universitesi
Eskisehir (Turkey), Conservatorio Superior de Msica "Eduardo Martnez Torner" de Oviedo (Spain),
29 Oficina de Musica de Curitiba (Brazil) and in Vienna Master Course in Schloss Laudon (Austria).
On several occasions he has taken part in TV programs concerning music broadcast by the Polish
Television. In July 1997 he made recordings for the film regarding Fryderyk Chopin, produced and
broadcast by Arte the German and French Channel and the Second Channel of Polish Television. In
In January 2000 he recorded a recital for the Polish Radio in Lutoslawski Studio, which was qualified
for the International Radio Recordings Competition International Forum for Young Performers in
Lisbon organized by the European Broadcasting Union under the auspices of UNESCO. In September
2004 he performed live concert for Vatican Radio in Goethe Institute in Rome.
His concerts added luster to the presentations of the Polish culture: the granting of award for outstanding
Poles Chicago, 2000 and 2001, European Press Celebration (Berlin, 2001). He took part in Paderewski
Festival in Chicago, 2001 and performed a recital in The United Nations Palace in Geneva
commemorating Ignacy Jan Paderewski, 2010. He was a member of the jury of the International Anton
Rubinstein Piano Competition and International Johannes Brahms Piano Competition in Aqua Termi
( Italy, 2005). Piotr ukowski is an author of a biographical book about Alexander Scriabin (Evolution of
Scriabins musical language) which was published in 2016.
His participation in both national and international piano competitions resulted in numerous
rewards, which are namely:
- The 1st prize at the XI International Anemos Piano Competition, Rome 2004 (I)
- The 2nd prize at the XI International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, Budapest 2004(H)
- The 2nd prize at the XV International Chamber Music Competition, Lodz 2004 (PL)
The 1st prize at the V International Anton Rubinstein Piano Competition, Aqua Termi 2003(I)
- The 1st prize at the XII International Piano Competition Citta di Barletta, Barletta 2002 (I)
- The 1st prize at the 4th International Competition for Young Pianists Artur Rubinstein

- Artur Rubinstein Prize founded by Aniela Mlynarska-Rubinstein
- The Special Prize of The Piano Teachers Association of Japan
