Week3:

In teaching style on week 3 I was focusing on how to make sure that


students are taking what they learned with them out of the class. For
example, give an activity that makes them remember what they took
in that day. So, I decided to use songs to motivate them learn even out
the classroom which makes them sing at home to memorizing the new
vocabulary, for example make them sing a song three days to make
them remember the words such as uncle, aunt and cousins, and the
song that I used in this week was family fingers to make them
remember words such as mom, dad, babe, brother, sister, uncle, aunt
and cousins.

Moreover, this week I recognized that students need more modelling


during tasks, and by saying modelling I mean that they need more
instructions about the activities by demonstrating them an example of
what they are expected to do. For example, I used to do the modeling
of the activity book before they start answering questions and I was
explaining for them verbally, but then I recognized when I was
scaffolding and walking around to check their answers I noticed that
they are not doing like I said which means they did not understand my
expectations of these tasks, so I decided to model more examples that
allows students realize the actual example and listen to the instruction,
because students have different learning styles and most students in
this grade are included mixed learning styles which are auditory,
visual, and kinesthetic learners. , Moreover, next week I will explain
what they have to do step by step and modelling them two questions
or more on the board which allow them to understand what they have
to do in each task to complete the work individually in purpose to
assess their learning.
