INVITATION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DESIGN

REVIEW AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF 20 DAMS UNDER CONSTRUCTION OF 100
DAMS IN BALOCHISTAN PACKAGE - III (20 DAMS) PROJECT
The Government of Pakistan, through Balochistan Irrigation department intends to acquire
consultancy services from reputed consulting firms for carrying out subject assignment.
PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The Government of Balochistan intends to construct 20 dams in various districts of Balochistan,
under Construction of 100 Dams in Balochistan Package-III (20 Dams) Project, in consonance with
objectives of the sector which are, inter - alia, to harness flood flows for direct irrigation, ground
water recharge, agriculture development, flood protection and poverty alleviation with the
construction of dams through environmentally acceptable and sustainable project.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Interested firms having valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the year 2016,
in 1205 and 1206 categories for carrying subject assignment must provide information indicating
that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignment, experience in
similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, financial capability, technical
capability, managerial capabilities etc.).
The consultants will be selected in accordance with the BPPRA Rules, and procedures set in PEC
guidelines for selection and employment of consultants. The consultants must have financial
capability and highly qualified staff. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualification.
Screening of eligible consulting firms will be carried out on the basis of the information made
available in the EOI documents and only shortlisted firms will be asked to submit technical and
financial proposals on the prescribed format.
EOI DETAILS
Interested consultants may obtain EOI documents from the office of the Project Director by sending
a written request along with green challan of Rs. 5000/- (in Original) deposited in any branch of
National Bank of Pakistan in Account No. C-03434, during office hours after the date of publication in
the newspapers or may download the same from BPPRA website (www.bppra.org.pk) or project
website (www.100-dams.org). In that case original green bank challan should be attached while
submitting EOI documents. Expression of interest (EOI) should be submitted to this office (1 original
& 1 copy) by November 30, 2016 during office hours not later than 02:00 PM.
