primary focus in vacuum technology, no previous experience is required. However, it is greatly desired that the candidate have a strong background in
magnetics and/or magnetic materials (whether through coursework or direct experience). This engineer will have the opportunity to work with and learn
from a team of experienced engineers with various engineering backgrounds.
Skills:
A successful engineer must be able to work independently to generate results. While we are looking for a talented engineer with a broad engineering
background, a deeper understanding of magnetism and magnetic materials is desired. The ability to learn quickly and adapt to change is critical to this
candidates success. Communicating results and issues effectively across our team will be particularly important.
Responsibilities will include developing new processes, maintaining existing processes, investigating root cause of process failure, designing and
coordinating critical experiments, and in depth data analysis. Teamwork across shifts and across departments will be critical.
Though specific hours and days are negotiable, the preference is for weekday evenings and nights.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Master of Science or PhD in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Candidates with a Bachelor of Science will be considered if they have the appropriate background and experience.
Background in magnetics and magnetic materials.
