Structure and work flow in Cyclone

When modeling in Cyclone (with object preferences parts table activated) all modeled elements will
obtain the element part information. This is useful information for creating intelligent models or layout
drawings.
Therefore, we will use the below work flow, to preserve this part information, and still be able to
update and further detail the Cyclone model, AutoCAD model, AutoCAD layout drawings.
Furthermore will it provide the ability to exchange data between several computers, databases.
When starting to model in Cyclone, place all elements on a relevant layer

Equipment_21m_New
Whenever finished a certain area, or need to update the derived drawings, it is easy to select the new
modeled elements. Elements will be exported to separate COE files (steel, arch, pip, ).
In a separate workspace or seperate Cyclone database, they can be re-imported. Thus enabling us to
keep a complete up-to-date 3D model of all elements, including their intelligent parts information. In
here, the elements will change layer to
Steel_21m
Pipe_21m
Equipment_21m
Some attention should be paid to modified elements, in order to prevent duplicates. It is up to the
drafts-person to carefully monitor this.

Structure and work flow in AutoCAD

Each separate COE file will be imported in a separate AutoCAD model. In here, the elements can be
slightly modified in order to make a clean AutoCAD 3D model.
From there, layout drawings will be generated as described in 'AutoCAD_models_layouts'.

Reversed workflow
Whenever an element is created in AutoCAD, it can be transferred to Cyclone by using the COE files.
This however should be minimized, because in most cases, it will generate a mesh in Cyclone, which is
not modifiable. It however is necessary in some cases, and therefore it is described here.

Remarks
Updating AutoCAD models, should be done with caution, because for instance 'Associative
dimensions' loose the association to the 'new' object. This is subject to the drafts-person responsibility.
