Suspense Analytical Paragraph

In the story Tell Tale Heart,

Edgar Allen Poe uses vivid details and

describes, in detail, the main character's anxiety and fear. The use of both of
these techniques builds suspense throughout the story. One vivid detail is found
on page 87, the narrator had a dull sound ringing in his head and it wouldnt go
away. Then the author described the ringing very vividly, which made the scene
dreadful for what was going to happen next; was the man going to get caught?
Was he going to also kill the 3 police officers? The second detail that made The
Tell-Tale Heart suspenseful is the sentence, Why would they not be gone? I
paced the floor to and fro with heavy strides (Pg 87). This shows the mans
anxiety and that he is reaching his breaking point. These are some of the details
that made The Tell-Tale Heart suspenseful.
