Learning institution that has being systemically reinvented in terms of
teaching, learning, practices and social management in order to prepare
children for information age

OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the smart school is
Development of individuals in terms of intellectual, physical,

emotional and spiritual.

Create opportunities to enhance individuals strength and ability.
Demarcating education.
Increase involvement of stakeholder.
Produce a thinking and technology literate workforce.

CHALLENGES OF SMART
SCHOOL AND HOW TO
OVERCOME IT.
All school have challenges to become a good school, hence this smart
school also have their own challenges. These challenges come from all the
type of aspect. So, from this research we were found a few challenges that
been through by the smart school to become the school that able to
perform creatively in creating a goods individuals.
The first is the problem in how the students get the teaching materials. As
we know that most of the smart school now a day, do not give the note to
their student by giving them a hard copy, but most of teacher give the note
by post it in the social network. Hence, the student who did not know how
to use internet network would be difficult to get the notes and most of smart
school has limited internet courage. So the way to overcome this problem
is, teacher must spend the time with their student to teach them how they
can get notes from internet. Because most of teachers think that all their
students know to get the notes from.
Next is the challenge to get a effective e-learning in the classroom. This
because student were to bored with the old time learning method. So, to
overcome this smart school should using more effective materials and
technology. Example are smart board and education tv (ETV).

Huge budget was needed to overcome the increasing number of smart

school. This is due the higher cost were needed. Government spend a lot
electronic facilities such as pc and projector. Its also spend lot of money to
repair the computer and to paid the technician.
Then, the new teacher was difficult to adapt the new environments. Most
of new teacher was scared to use ict that being use in that school. Which
they think they could harm the program that being code In those pc. So to
overcome his, a government should give a new teacher practical so they
will not lack of ict knowledge.
Leaner attitude is the problem that hard to solve among the teacher, this
because students were not active in the learning and hoping fully from
teacher. Hence, students should play an active role in the class. Lack of
technician staff to supervisor the network most of the smart school
problem. This due the lack of knowledge about ict among the teachers. So
government should teach the teacher on how to handle the pc.
Not all the parents were involves in the development of school and their
children. This because parents are to busy with their jobs until they cannot
spends enough time with their children education and put hundred percent
of teaching on teacher. So parents should play an important role to.

ADVANTAGE OF SMART
SCHOOL
There a lots of advantage that we could get from this smart school. Which
the first one is interactive learning was improved. Most of student was able
to learn how to study with a new way, how they could share information
from other student by using many kind of application such as email,
whatsApp and etc. its also improved because most of smart school were
using the smart board by give a hands-on approach to classroom concept.
Equipped with the latest technology. Its mean that it can provide a range
of education software for teacher, school and colleges. Hence, there would
be a various methods of teaching and learning were use.
Curriculum is more flexible and open (more on self-evaluation). Example
are, the learning lesson are student-centered, promote self-learning to
creative and independent, and can be learn in variety way as the like.
Then, its also can enhancing the social skills among the student. By this
students will be more active when using ict.
After all, there are lots of new technology were create by the students
who was able to use ict .

INTRODUCTION
ICT (information and communication technology) is an umbrella term that
include any communication devices or application, encompassing : radio,
television, cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software,
satellite systems and so on, as well as the various services and
applications associated with them, such as videoconferencing and distance
learning. ICT are often spoken in particular context, such as ICTs in
education, health care, or libraries.
Information age have made education easier but at the same time may
have disadvantages also. With the use of modern technology involving the
information age, many students prefer to study at the smart school. This
because the teacher could teach them easily through the usage of elearning. this type method is mostly recommended for not only students
who have desired about ict but to all student who willing to learn.

CONCLUSION
From this assignment, we able to know about the advantage,
disadvantages, challenges and method to overcome the problem in the
smart school. This smart school initiative can revolutionize learning beyond
our grasp today.
Ensuring the successful implementation of the smart school will required
a long term implementation plan which set the performance target that will
be to met by the major players.
Finally, it hardly need to be stressed that the competence and learning
capacity of school children will effect their performance in university
regardless of whether they are studying engineering or philosophy. This
give the smart school project in Malaysia particular interest to educational
policy makers globally.

DISADVANTAGES

The first disadvantage is not much democratization in education. Student

have no choice on what to learn and when to sit for exam. They do not
have enough time to study and understand the lesson as they have
different ability to learn.
The second disadvantages is lack of technological infrastructure and
teaching materials in school in rural area. We do not have much chance to
be exposed to technology. It is also limited internet connectivity.
Others than that is students cannot interact with each other. Student
become relax and lazy towards their school work so this then affects their
school work.
