Computer System Servicing NC II. ( the assessor must wear his/her ID card as a proof
of his/her accreditation)

3. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to acknowledge the presence of Ms. Julie Barquia and Ms. Mary Rose Gella
Rodrigues, our representative from TESDA Provincial Office.
You do not have to worry about their presence. They are here to oversee the conduct of
competency assessment and to check if the conduct is in accordance with the prescribed
competency assessment methodology and procedures. They will not assess you.
4. ATTENDANCE

Before I start, let me first check the attendance, please present to me your
admission slip once your name is called and affix your signature on the attendance
sheet.

5. OVERVIEW
- I have here with me your accomplished self-assessment guide. This is an indication
that you know and can perform all the units of competency enumerated in this
qualification. (self-assessment guide was given to the candidate by the processing officer
of the assessment center.
(The competency assessor gives the overview of the Qualification to be assessed:)
Today, I am going to administer competency assessment for
(Computer System Servicing NC II).
It is the Qualification level with (Enumerate the Core Units of Competencies. Core
Competencies namely:
1. Install Computer Systems and Networks
2. Configure Computer Systems and Networks
3. Diagnose Computer Systems and Networks
4. Maintain Computer Systems and Networks

6. CONTEXT PURPOSE OF ASSESSMENT

-

The purpose of assessment is to officially identify a persons level of qualification that

corresponds to specific levels in the Phil. TVET Qualification framework. The assessment
process seeks to determine whether the worker can perform to the standards expected in
the workplace based on the defined competency standards. And a National Certificate is
given once a candidate passed the assessment.

The task to be performed and evidence to be collected are divided into two parts:
1. DEMONSTRATION
2. INTERVIEW

You are given 4 hours to demonstrate the following:

1. Install Computer Systems and Networks
2. Configure Computer Systems and Networks
3. Diagnose Computer Systems and Networks
4. Maintain Computer Systems and Networks

And after that we will 15 minutes interview.

If none, I will now distribute the Competency Assessment Agreement sheets. Please read the
instructions carefully and answer all the questions outlined in the document.
Who among you cannot understand English?
If you need assistance, I will be more than willing to assist you.
And after that, I will give you 10 minutes for your personal necessities.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION:
So, are you now ready candidates for the assessment?

The time now is 8:30 you are given 4 hours to perform the task. We will end at exactly 12:30.
2. Please observe proper safety measures all the time. See to it that you unplug the computer
units before you disassemble them and wait for the assessor to check the units before turning
on the computer.

Computer Systems and Networks, but you forgot to return the tools to their proper places.
But generally you
performed the
tasks within the
standard requirements of
the Qualification.

assessment decision.
Please get your CARS from the Assessment Center Manager, and You can get your
National Certificate from the ( TESDAProvincial Office, within 5 working days ,and
please bring with you 1 white passport size ID picture and 100 pesos for you Certificate).

Ms. Palomar, I observed that you were able to perform Installing the Computer Systems but I
observed that you were not able to finish Configuring the Networks. You have to review and
practice the activities related to the competency requirement of the qualification further. You can
come after a month for re assessment or when you feel confident enough that you have acquired
the competence. I am sorry you were not able to perform within the standard requirements of the
qualification and I found you NOT YET COMPETENT.
