SRWDO Training- Attended

training with my principal to
prepare for writing the DTSDE
for my school. Then began
writing Tenets 2 & 3 and rating
according to the NYS rubric.

This was great

experience to learn how
to word a document for
the state.

Meeting with principal to outline

specific projects for my summer
internship. These projects
include, but are not limited to,
establishing a consistent school
grading policy, and creating a
comprehensive Staff handbook.

I left this meeting

excited, and also feeling
very overwhelmed and
knew I would have a
busy summer!

We have come up with

a new plan for the next
year and it seems like it
is going to work and we
will have less teachers
dropping out of
teaching the program
and higher student
attendance as well.
This was interesting to
compile since it will
allow us to reflect on
the past year and make
improvements for the
upcoming year as well.

This is going to be an
ongoing process and
this is also going to give
me experience as to
how to deal with

Reflection
We spoke about
how we are going
to turnkey this in
September.
I realized as an
administrator there
are some things
that can be out of
your control. It is
important to be
flexible and deal
with them as they
come.
I need to be
detailed and
explicit in my
directions.
Great
collaboration.
This was a tension
filled session due
to the district
mandating more
training for
teachers and the
administration was
not aware of this
for opening day.
I am getting more
input from the
teachers.
This is something I
enjoy doing
because I can see
the final product.
Meeting with my
other teachers is a
great way to
discuss best
practices. I
appreciate how we
need to submit
