ABSTRACT
Internet has become one of the largest platforms of communication. It is the most
effective technology available today. Building a website for school or school events or
activities can be extremely beneficial if it is done in the right way. It maybe time
consuming and include a lot of effort to be put in for developing a website, but it is very
advantageous for the school community. The website gives the necessary information
and also clear idea about what the school events is all about. The websites will provide
the up to date information, as well as help them to link between schools, their
communities and also to the entire world.

Chapter 1: The Problem

1. Background of the Study
Intramural sports or intramurals are recreational sports organized within a particular
institution, usually an educational institution, or a set geographic area. It gives students,
faculty, and staff, the opportunity to come together for competition and camaraderie.
Usually, this is done annually as a very special celebration and a relief to students from
their stressful school days.
Intramurals is an important factor in greatly improving the quality of lifestyle for any
student. The objective is to play well as a team with good sportsmanship. Fighting,
abusive language, and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.

1.2 OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT SYSTEM AND RELATED SYSTEM

Current System to design a website that will provide the end users the
necessary information about the Intramural Sports of Southern Leyte State
University Bontoc Campus College of Aquatic and Applied Life Sciences.
A. Characteristics of the System let the users view the contents of the website
and allow them to leave comments and insights about the website.
B. Operation of the System
Hardware/Software Personal/desktop computer, mobile devices.

Personnel Requirements
Authorization login as administration

1.3 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

The main objective of this study is to design an online website for the Intramural Sports
and Event of the Southern Leyte State University Bontoc campus. Specifically, it aims
to:
1.3.1 The SLSU Bontoc Intramural Sports and Events website will be the official
website of the Intramural event of SLSU College of Aquatic and Applied Life
Sciences.
1.3.2 To design a user friendly and easy access webpage.
1.3.3 To allow user to give their feedbacks and comments about the site.
1.4 SIGNIFICANT OF THE STUDY

The main purpose of the SLSU Bontoc Intramural Website will promote the active
participation of students in any athletics events.

The website will depict the fun of participating in the intramural activity and
valuing the morale of the people.

1.5 DEFINITION OF TERMS

1.5.1 Authorization
Act of implementing the control of equipment with advance technology usually involving
electronic hardware; Automation is a condition of being automatically operated or
controlled.

1.5.2 Website
A location connected to the internet that maintains one or more pages on the World
Wide Web (WWW).

1.6 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The Intramural Sports Website of Southern Leyte State University Bontoc must answer
the following problems:
1.6.1 What are the important highlights or events in during the intramural meet of the
school year?
1.6.2 What are the general schedules of activities?

1.7 SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This study is focused on the design and development of the Intramural Sports Website
of Southern Leyte State University Bontoc College of Aquatic and Applied Life
Sciences.

Scope
The proposed Intramural Sports Website of Southern Leyte State University Bontoc
College of Aquatic and Applied Life Sciences will be designed to promote the athletics to
the students and to other sports enthusiast.

Limitation
This website can be accessed by anybody all over the world through the internet.
