Seniors will have a highlighted and desirable status in the program. They
will be developed leaders, recognized, and have a senior status. The seniors in the
program need a chance to lead and take control of their team. Providing them
with opportunities year-round to lead and learn will provide a foundation of
discipline, responsibility, accountability, and winning culture.
Senior Retreat
Senior retreat/sleepover
o 2 days of bonding
July/late summer. Permission slips. Coaches drive
o Games/Activities= whiffle ball, kick ball, volleyball, swimming, fishing,
king of the raft, putt-putt, movie, etc.
o Review learning throughout off season
o Team goals for upcoming season
o Give positive characteristic for each senior
o Senior Leadership Vision Statement
o HOT SEAT
Players do this with no coaches. One senior at a time is in the
middle of a horse shoe lineup. Each senior gets to say
something to the senior in the middle without him responding.
Once everyone talks, the senior in the middle can talk.
o Mental Walk-Through of the season
o Alumni for life discussion. Former players letters/advice
Culmination of Senior Leadership Training
Football Fraternity
o Campfire talk: The key and reason for the retreat. Why do we play
football?

Weekly meetings on status of the team
Senior Night last home game. Senior dads in locker room

Seniors pick Teacher of the Week to join us on game days
A part of Team Leadership Committee
