16. What is a Foreshore Lease Application?
A Foreshore Lease Application is the type of application covering foreshore
lands, marshy lands and other lands bordering bodies of water for commercial,
industrial, or other productive purposes other than agriculture.

17. Where should Foreshore Lease Applications be filed?

The FLA shall be filed with the Community Environment and Natural
Resources Office (CENRO), which has jurisdiction over the area.

18. Who are qualified to apply?

The following are qualified to apply for FLA:
a. Any Filipino citizen of lawful age; and
b. Corporations, associations, or partnerships duly constituted under the laws
of the Philippines; at least 60 % of the capital is owned by Filipino citizens.

19. What is the maximum area that may be leased?

The maximum area that may be leased by any person, corporation,
association, or partnership is 144 hectares.

20. What is the term of the lease of the Foreshore Lands?

The FLA shall be for a period of 25 years and renewable for another 25 years.
