A. Hook
Who was the best teacher in your school days? Did he or she encourage
your study? Now, think about totally different experience. Have you ever
had bad relationship with teachers? What about your grade at that time;
especially the subject of his or hers? Did you avoid studying the very
field?
B. Connecting Information
If you have these kinds of experiences, whether they were positive or
negative, it is natural. Lets move on to one of the educational Psychology
concept called, motivation theory: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
C. Thesis statement
As we checked above, teachers can encourage students to study. Good
lecturer who leads children to have great intrinsic motivation has some
characteristics: personal teaching efficacy, passion, caring, and positive
expectation.
