Industry Overview:
Steel fabrication firms are involving themselves in producing intermediate components which is
used by different types of manufacturers. These firms use techniques like forging, forming,
bending, stamping, welding, assembling and so on,. for making components. The global metal
fabrication industry is valued at 16.35 billion USD and also projected to expand at a CAGR
(Compounded Annual Growth Rate) of 3%. It is also said that the steel fabrication market might
reach 21.38 billion US dollars by the end of 2024. The metal creation market is sectioned on the
premise of end use into development, automotive, assembling, vitality and power, hardware, and
others. The development area is the main end-utilize section and its predominance in the metal
manufacture market is described by the developing number of development exercises crosswise
over creating economies.

Introduction:
Mamatha Industries was established in the year 1980 by an Entrepreneur called Krishna.
Mamatha Industrys primary business is making products out of mild steel as per the
requirements of the customers. They come under small scale industries in and around Udupi
District. It is located in Ishwar Nagar. Their main business focuses on the requirements of the
customers. They are also dealers in mechanical spare parts. The company makes money as and
when the orders are received and fulfilled. They procure all the required raw materials from
various suppliers. Their main suppliers include:

The above suppliers are also located in and around Manipal area. The selection criteria for the
raw materials is mainly based on the type of material and proximity required for the fabrication.

For example: If a particular customer requires 5mm-6mm gauge, the company will opt for the
suppliers mentioned above. These are the only suppliers for the company. If the customers
provide with their material, the industry will fulfill the needs of customer without contacting the
suppliers. The firm also provides custom made fabrication work as per the specification given by
the customer.

From the above raised question it is understood that the firm does not manufacture anything in
the industry. It simply caters to the needs of the Customers. The main objective now is to design
a webpage which could help the firm associate with the best supplier out of the suppliers
mentioned above.
