Statement of Purpose

I am Kebina Pal Adhikari, originally from Kalaiya-9, Nepal and currently staying in
Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. I belong to middle class family. Regarding my
parents, my father is a Government Officer while my mother is a housewife . My family
is financially strong and also has good reputation in the society.
As far as my academic profile is concerned, I have successfully completed School
Leaving Certificate (S.L.C) in 2006. I have completed Intermediate (10+2) in 2009. I
have also completed Three years Bachelor Degree (BTTM) in 2013 from Nepal
Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management, Ravibhawan, Nepal which is affiliated
with Tribhuvan University , with First division marks. Further education is my dream
so I also appeared IELTS Examination and scored overall band score 6.0
There are several reasons why I have made up mind to choose Southern Cross
University as my further academic destination. Firstly, the Southern Cross University
has quality education system. Academic qualification gained in the Australian
universities and educational institutions of Australia are recognized throughout the
globe. The Australian education system has strong international reputation and it is
known for its effective structure and innovative policy development. Secondly, it is a
good study destination for international students because of having rich
infrastructures for practical based teaching with highly professional teaching
faculties. It is vibrant and friendly country with long and glorious past, where
students can get both theoretical and practical education. Finally, it is also an ideal
place where we can exchange the culture diversity and promote cultural cohesion
among the people of different parts of the world. These are some factors that have
encouraged me to apply in the University of Australia and to get a globally recognized
degree.
I have decided to do Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management from
Southern Cross University. As I got the information from different sources, this is one
of the best education providers in Australia, which provides quality education to both
local and international students. Now, I am very much eager to pursue my career in
this filed. Now days, the scope of Tourism & Hospitality is booming up as this is the
era of business. The popularity of this filed is not confined to Nepal but it is
internationally recognized. I have heard that this has already become an attractive
course for the students like me who wants to do something innovative in the domain
of business. I strongly believe
this innovative degree will enable me to fulfill the
growing demand of qualified business professionals in my country Nepal. In recent
years, Nepal based renowned banks & Tourism industries have cultivated the trend
providing employment to the graduates having done degree. I hope that this will be
demanded much more in days ahead. That is to say the graduates of this field will
have a safe and glowing future. These are some factors influencing me for this
stream.
As far as my sponsorship of studies and living expenses, I have paid the all the tuition
