From the previous submission, I have already identified my geometry, the boundary

conditions and the mesh types. I performed 5 different types of mesh on the geometry and
listed each one of them down, pointing out the different mesh types and sizing used. I have
stated my chosen mesh type which was type 5 because it was the most refined mesh with the
highest average mesh value which was my target. Let us take a closer look at the different
mesh types and element and their effects on the solution. Below are 3 tables construct with all
the important information of all the 5 types of meshes (tables based on information from
TABLE 5: MESH, TABLE 6: MESH CONTROL and TABLE 12: SOLUTION RESULTS
from ANSYS).

From table 1 we can see that type 5 has the highest number of nodes at
1119472 and highest number of elements at 5887398. Having a higher number
of nodes and element generally means that there will be a higher precision in the
computed data. This is because for a surface area there will be higher
discretisation of mesh cells which allows a better distribution of the stress. We
will be able to probe and view the effects of stress and the deformation at more
approximate value. This is important especially in zones of interest where the
stress formation is the largest

For the maximum shear stress (which is our most important element) the data is
distributed
between
about
20000Pa
to
125000Pa.
Equating
63738+112547+31493+21495+57150/5 gives us 57280. Type 5 has the closest
max shear stress value (57150) to the average that we found. The deformation
values obtained here are all quite similar and in close proximity and very small
therefore will not give much effect to our analysis. However, I have looked into it
and found that the average total deformation is 0.004228 which has about
0.0001mm difference from the deformation of the Mesh Type 5.
