The process of calling:

2 Timothy 2:20-21
20

In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood
and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who
cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made
holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

Isaiah 6:1-9
I. King Uzziah in ourselves must die
1

It was in the year King Uzziah died[a] that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty
throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. (Isaiah 6:1)
King Uzziah is a one of the famous king in Israel. In his early years he lived a
righteous life but later when he experience the success, he became proud. He do
the works of the priest which is a prohibited thing, after that he had a leprosy til he
died (2 Chronicles 26). This is very common to us today, when God will use us
mightily we become proud and we think of ourselves that we are the only ones that
are being used by God. We forgot that we are composed of a body the body of
Christ. Uzziah or Religiosity in ourselves must first die.
II. Allow God to minister teaching us fear of the Lord

Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they
covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 They
were calling out to each other,
Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Heavens Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!
4

Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled
with smoke. (Isaiah 6:2-4)
III. Realize that we are sinful
5

Then I said, Its all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips,
and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the L ORD of
Heavens Armies. (Isaiah 6:5)

IV. Cleansing or purifying through the Blood of Jesus

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the
altar with a pair of tongs. 7 He touched my lips with it and said, See, this coal has
touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven. (Isaiah
6:6-7)
V. God will call you
8

Then I heard the Lord asking, Whom should I send as a messenger to this
people? Who will go for us? (Isaiah 6:8)
VI. Acceptance of the calling or the chosen part
8

Then I heard the Lord asking, Whom should I send as a messenger to this
people? Who will go for us?
I said, Here I am. Send me. (Isaiah 6:8)
VII. Sending stage

And he said, Yes, go, and say to this people,

Listen carefully, but do not understand.
