papers - when done raise your hand so I can check it (2 minutes) We have
another project that will take a little longer after this, so do it neatly but
quickly.

Drawing Respect (5 minutes)
- Good Job! Now we are going to shift gears Does anyone know what
respect is? Or can you give me an example? Respect is a way of thinking
about or treating someone or something. If you respect someone you
will treat them nicely. You should show respect to yourself, friends,
family, community, and environment. Wait for a few answers/examples
provide additional examples: removing hats when inside, listening,
waiting your turn to speak, sharing, helping your mom, playing
sports and eating healthy, listening to your parents.
- For this next activity you are going to make a picture about one way you
can show respect. If you want to you can try working in partners to help
each other brainstorm ideas. Brainstorming is working together to
come up with ideas (4-5 minutes).
- If you need help with ideas ask fellow students
- When you are done making your drawing I want you to show it to a
neighbor and explain how you are showing respect in the drawing.

If 1st exercise takes too long or have extra times

with the letter M and then draw two things, on the back of their M printing
pages, that start with the letter M. Get students to show it to fellow
students and explain what it is.
Conclusion: (1 minute)
