Introduction

The Drawing Interface Programs BDIP, CDIP and SDIP are the derivative of SADS (The
Structural Analysis and Design System), that assist the SADS users to perform the Drawing of
beams, column and slabs. They turns your SADS into a powerful tool for your business.
BDIP is the Beam Drawing Interface Program, The following diagram shows you about the
overview of BDIP.
Overview of BDIP.

The overview of BDIP diagram which illustrates in above figure shows that BDIP retrieves the
result of the calculation of the beams in SADS, combines with the user supplies about the drawing
set up data and the additional data of the beams to generate AutoLISP data file. Then BDIP
transfers this data file to the well-known worldwide program -- AutoCAD. Inside AutoCAD,
AutoLISP uses the data file to perform all the AutoCAD drawing you wish automatically, the user
may then use the function of AutoCAD to edit and plot the beam drawing.
BDIP has many favorable functions and advantages, it is easy to use and easy to execute, the
only thing to do by the user is to provide the additional data about the beams which should be
match the drawing requirement and mastering the drawing.
BDIP will retrieve the dimension, the reinforced bar, the beams' order inside batch code, etc. from
SADS. The user does not necessary to input a lot of the corresponding data about the beams.
BDIP will display a drawing screen based upon SADS data file and the information of the

BDIP
additional data supplied by the user. To assist the user to observe the selected beam drawing and
to show whether the additional data of the user supplied is correct or not.
BDIP allows the user to edit the reinforced bars and stirrups of the beam which have previously
defined in SADS to meet some requirement.
BDIP allows the user to cut up to 3 sections in each beam according to the complicated condition
of the beam and for the desire of the user.
BDIP offers a variety of options that allow the user to determine how the output appears on your
drawing for the continuous beam, either it can be break up into two parts and to be arrange in the
separate drawing or not.
BDIP will perform the arrangement of the selected beams drawing automatically. The
arrangement is based on the order of the beams in a batch code and the order of the cutting
sections in each beam to search out the optimally economic way to be arrange.
BDIP allows the user to view graphically how the results of the arrangement of the beams are
distributed on the drawing paper.
BDIP enables the user to perform AutoCAD inside BDIP. The User does not need to exit BDIP
and go into the AutoCAD program, also the user does not need to prompt any command or
provide any file name to AutoCAD, AutoCAD will perform all the drawings the user asked for BDIP
. After the performance in AutoCAD is finished, BDIP will return to the BDIP screen from which
the user ran the AutoCAD. Also, BDIP offers the option of off line links to AutoCAD by using the
files of BDIP for further use.
BDIP uses AutoLISP to generate the data file, it is compact, it will save a lot of space in your hard
disk.

1.2

System Requirement
