SELF ASSESSMENT
1. Tell me about yourself?
My name is Maryam, I am studying in Bachelor Education program for the
primary in HCT. I inspire to be a great teacher and an educator. As I have
different skills that supports teacher in teaching such as communication,
collaborative, time management, positive attitudes, critical thinking,
designing and others. As the HCT gave me different experiences in teaching
practice even now and I still have two more. Thus, I have full amazing
experiences in teaching of the both sectors which are the government and
the private. I always thinking in positive way as I have unique logo is called
be optimistic that word make me feel happy and use challenging way to face
any difficulties. I inspire changing the education environment for the primary
students that is by applying theory that is called learning by doing. It means
students learn by doing kinesthetic, physical and mix visual with auditory
methods in learning rather than using bored ways like make highlights and
write notes. So, I am ready to achieve my big goal to improve the education
in progress way.

2. How do you manage your time to meet deadlines? Have you ever had
more to do than you could accomplish? How did you handle it?

Well, as I am a great teacher in the future, I use time management way to

mange time. But what is the strategy I used? The first strategy is thinking
what I want to achieve. The second one is writing plan. Next, start making
schedule and start doing important projects first that the deadline is vey
near. Well, I always finish duties before or on time. Of course, as I am
studying in Bachelor education program for primary. I have different
assessments that deadline at the same time. For example, I remembered for
the last semester I received the binder and the report with having an exam.
Another example is usually when we back from teaching practice have the

majority of the assessments that deadline day after day. So, I know exactly
how I deal in this way and manage my time as well.

3. What kind of things do you feel most confident doing?

In my view point is to create attractive lessons, activities and workshops
because it shows my abilities of how to make it. As I admire of creating
special and new ideas so that makes me so confident doing. For example, I
did creative ideas for reading everywhere event, math event , story sack and
different activities in school as well as I was training there.
4. What things frustrate you the most? How do you usually cope with
frustration?
Frankly, the most things frustrate me is when someone doesn't appreciate
my efforts that I do. It is like trying to ruin my works by saying negative
words or appear how is beautiful for me but says different back to me. As I
faced lots types of people like that. Anyway, how I usually cope with
frustration is to ignore what they said to me and never let words give up. I
realize that one day sure they will know their mistake that did or maybe they
will face the same situation.
5. In what area have you shown your greatest improvement in the last two
years?
Well, I observed my personality has become greatest improvement rather
than before. I think that being teacher assisted me lots to improve my
personality to be strong and social person. As I learned how to deal with
different skills such as communication, time management, collaborating,
discussion and others.

6. What extracurricular activities were you active in? What made you choose
them? Which of them did you enjoy the most? Why?
Well, there are different activities I had active such as reading event, math
event, water workshop, story sack, doing experiment, creating a game,
solving problem workshop, the best movies workshop, the salad activity and

more. To be specific is what the main reason that made me to choice is

because it is so fun and let me to think more creatively to present ideas. That
is my favorite part is to create creative or new ideas to attract others and let
them be interested and enjoyed while sharing with us.
7. What skills did you develop through your university education? How will
these help you in a job?
Well, there are different types of skills that develop during HCT education
which are
Communication skill is how to deal with the students and others easily by
using strategies such as dialogue, verbal- non verbal and other ways.
Time management skill is how to organize time while I am teaching or do
duties. For instance make schedule. Also,how let students manage time while
doing activities to finish on time that is by using attractive way to attract
them. For example, using song timer or song bell.
8. What was the most important thing you have learned at university?
I believe that the most important thing I have learned is how to reflect
confident and abilities in different aspects for others. It is like nothing cam
make me give up whatever happened. I always show my positive attitudes
for others to spread positive environment around me. As I have unique logo
is to " be optimistic"
9. If you were to start university again tomorrow, what courses would you
select? Why?
Well, I will choice the teaching practice course that is my favorite one. As I
wonder of kids so much and using different creative ways in teaching for
them. That is so interested that make me to feel happy while I teaching
children with learning them in attractive way such as learning by doing.
10. What type of educational upgrading do you plan to undertake in the
future?
Well, I planned to change education environment for primary students in
more attractive way. It makes children to love learning and never feel bored
while learning. But how? That is by applying theory is learning by doing as I
noticed that help students to obtain knowledge and feel enjoyed at the same

EMPLOYMENT:
11. What type of work do you feel you are best suited for? Why?
It sure that being a primary teacher without any doubt. Well, the children are
my life in learning as I wonder creating attractive activities and ideas. So, I
think that help changing education environment in the best. Additionally, I
want presenting my abilities that I have it to let everyone be proud of having
a great teacher likes me.
12. Describe a previous work experience you really disliked and explain why
you disliked it.
In teaching practice experiences that is happened in 8 months ago, I faced
work experiences that really dislike it and I realized that is shouldn't give the
confident for everyone. I informed someone " unknown" to do workshop
outside the class especially in the garden to be more convenient for children
while doing activities rather than the class. It is like also change the
environment but the answer was refused at all to do it in the class. What is
happened then, when I was introducing the activity for children unknown
person informed me to do it in the outside now especially in the garden. But
how and why? Well, that thing wasted time lots to prepare materials outside
the class and the students did not do all activities. I don't know why
changing opinion in mistake time and it could be ruin my workshop as well as
let me to be carful for giving confident next time.

13. In past jobs, what achievements were recognized by your supervisor?

Well, I achieved lots of accomplishments with my education supervisor such
as finishing duties on time, organized creative workshops and be professional
and great person for everything.
14. Can you recall a time when your work was criticized? Describe the
situation and your response.

Well, I tended to work in the private placement that shows like an ideal work
environment for me. As I had experiences with it, I observed that teacher job
provides different activities for students for celebration days and make open
days. That is really make children to be interested. Moreover, the
environment is convenient in different fields such as the desk, have meting
room to do duties rather than the desk and help me to acquire full
experiences.
16. In previous work positions, did you initiate any new procedures, systems,
programs or activities?
Surely, when I was in teaching practice, I usually shared and organized doing
activities and workshops for the students. As I also have creative ideas that
makes activities be so interested. I also intimated in the HCT while I am
studying to show for others how I create learning for students such as
reading event, math event, science workshop story sack and innovation
product for obese people is called magic mirror. As a I have creative ideas
and abilities with aspiring to be a great teacher indeed will share to show for
them what I can do.
