Professionalism and Understanding
During this practicum you have shown yourself to be very professional and showed confidence and shown
growing willingness to learn from your mentors. You recognize there are areas for more development and
you show an enthusiasm to independently look for more information and apply this to your practice. You
collaborate well with your peers and your MST and clearly take your teaching practice seriously.

Planning for Learning


Your planning has been detailed and thorough. You have shown that you both value and understand the
importance of lesson planning. You are striving to implement best practice in your plans through the lesson
phases and planned engaging activities. Keep working to develop the strong language focus with the detail
necessary to fully scaffold the students.
Implementing and Managing Learning
Your lessons are managed well and there has been an improvement in the overall pacing. You have tight
management of student behavior which supports the lesson flow and their focus on learning and
completing their work. Be sure to scaffold the content of the lesson as strongly as you manage behavior.

Monitoring and Assessing
Your ability to monitor learning during this TP has shown improvement. You carefully listen to students and
check their work in whole-group settings to create formative assessment and learning opportunities. It has
been encouraging to see your focus on assessments and your interest in learning as much as you can from
your MST.
Critical Reflection
You show a strong reflective practice where you are willing and able to both recognize and work on the
strengths and weaknesses of your lesson planning, teaching practices and student engagement. Your
understanding of the importance of critical reflection as a teacher has developed and you are willing to
apply your insights and new understanding to improvement and innovation in your teaching practice.

You need to consider your time management and think carefully about the time needed when
planning each lesson phase
Your spoken language needs some development. Make sure you use appropriate language,
effective questioning structures, accurate grammar and spelling at all times
Develop differentiation strategies in your lessons so you support all students in their
understanding and learning
Develop assessment strategies and tasks taking into consideration advice from your MST
