Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hello! My name is Miss.Gust, and I am your childs student teacher in Keri
Schiebelbeins classroom. I will be working in your childs class until the end of
December. I am currently studying my after degree in Education at the University
of Lethbridge. I have a background in ESL, Management and Marketing.
As a student teacher I will be working closely with Keri Schiebelbein to plan and
prepare lessons to teach to the class. I will also be assisting her during class.
My background includes teaching ESL, managing the food and beverage
industry, and travelling the world. I recently moved back to Lethbridge after living
abroad for 2.5 years. After graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a
bachelors degree in Marketing, I moved to Thailand to teach English for two
years both full time and privately. While living abroad I worked at three different
language centers and two large schools, both with over 7,000 students, and
spent the past 8 months living in Australia at various farms learning a wide range
of skills and gaining experience in horticulture and sustainable farming.
Teaching and working with children is a joy to me, and I am so pleased to finally
be able to work in a classroom full-time! Part of my goal as an educator is to
spark curiosity in the minds of students. During my time in your childs class I
hope to excite your child about the world of learning and broaden his or her
academic interests. In addition, I am looking forward to getting to know your child
and to be working with him or her through the rest of the semester!
