Context of the lesson:

This lesson will be taught for girls and boys in FS2.

It will be about the sound of the letter W.
Teaching goal:
The overall aim of this lesson is to teach the students the sound of the letter W.
Learning objectives - by the end of the class, children will be able to:
-

Learn the sound of the letter W.

Know how to write the letter W.
Read words start with the letter W.
Give examples for words start with the letter W.
Explore different games with the letter W.

Assumptions about prior learning

Some students may know about the letter W.

Some students may know the shape of the letter W, but they may not know the sound of the letter W.
Anticipated problems and possible solutions:

I may face problems with the technology, so I will try to write the important things on the board.
I may face misunderstanding problems, so I will try to give examples, draw, and model the activities.
The students may not cooperate with each other, so I will try to motivate them to share playing and help each
other.
Personal focus for this lesson:

Be on time and come prepared:

-

To deliver my lesson goals more effectively and to maintain my confidence.

Varying my voice:
- To catch my students attention, I need to speak in a loud voice to make sure that everyone is
able to listen to me clearly. However, sometimes speaking in a low voice is required to make the student
quiet and concentrate with me.

Mack eye contacts with all students:

-

So, all the pupils will feel that I am paying attention for what they are doing.

Summary

Today, I taught FS2 a lesson about the sound W. This lesson was one of the most successf
lessons that I enjoyed teaching it, because I was well prepared for it, and I got the chance to talk
and discuss my ideas with my mentor teacher. After working hard for this lesson, the positive res
was showing on the way that I gave this lesson, I felt comfortable and confident, and the studen
were happy and active. They enjoyed the different activities that I did for them, especially the
activity of catching the whistles, they found it interesting, and they made a long line in order to p
it. More importantly, by the end of the lesson I was able to achieve my lesson goals, and I knew
after I asked the students questions about what we have caverd in the class, and they were able
answer me qoreectlly.

Suggestions and Personal Focus for next lesson

For my next lesson, I will try to work on the assimment part, I need to use some stragtegs that help me
knowing which activity was good and which one need imporvemnt.
