Personal Mission Statement: I intend on developing people skills, developing relationships with my
professors and implying all that learn from NC A&T into my workforce field of choice. Whether it be
nursing or social work, I will graduate in 4 years with a bachelors degree with internships
demonstrating my experience.
Freshman Year
Freshman Year Goals:
-maintain a GPA of a 3.5 or higher in able to get a parking pass and can get accepted into the Honors
Program
-visiting the career services to have them help me create an official professional resume
-get to know all of professors
-develop relationships with upper class who are in my same major to be able to get advice from being
who have been in my situation before
Fall Semester Courses:
-keep A's and B's in all classes
-return all rented books on time
-learn way around campus for Spring Courses
-sign up for spring courses
-pass all exams
Spring Semester Courses:
-keep all A's and B's in all classes
-by end of Freshman Year have a GPA that is a 3.5 or higher
-have a finalized and hard copy of resume for internships
-finalize major and gain internships for summer
Sophomore Year
Sophomore Year Goals:
-obtain healthy relationships with all professors
-be in field of major
-complete internships
-dress even more professional
Fall Semester Courses:
-keep all A's and B's in all classes
-broaden my perspective of my major
-take hands on classes in my field of major
Spring Semester Courses:
-keep all A's and B's in all classes
-start to see which professors will write recommendations
-develop an even closer relationship with higher authority and professors
-take internships over the summer
-take summer classes in hopes of graduating early
Junior Year
Junior Year Goals
-start to develop business relationships with the companies in which I will be trying to acquire a job at
-take internships at actual facilities to be able to get professional job experience
-get recommendation letters and continue building resume with career services
