Wastage Reduction Planning for Plastic Section

Molding Unit:
Find out component rejection i.e. short mold, discolored, spots or any
other issues that make the produced molded products not usable for
assembly.
Ideally recycled material used should be less than 20%
Find out if there is component rejection due to handling or any other
reasons.

Assembly Unit:
M/C rejection percentage needs to be calculated from obtained data. Rejection may
be caused by

Blades
m/c
plastic components

Finished Product:
Percentage of rejection needs to be figured out.

Blister Forming Rejection:

Currently 140 out of 180 blisters from a single pass of the tool is usable, the
remaining 40 are being rejected. Need to work with maintenance about new form
tool & its improvements.
