Behavior
management
Managing students behaviors is so important for
teachers. Because it makes the classroom quiet, makes
students focus into the lesson and reduce bulling (A
union of professionals, n.d.). In addition, Manage students behaviors make parents not being stressed as
knowing their children in protective community where
their kids are; Welcomed to classes, Respected, Supported by teachers and being sure that students are
physically and mentally safe.
Teachers can manage students by doing any activity
but they first have to know about their students emotions, interests and know about their character. Then
teachers must follow some steps system to make sure
that students behaving well, the steps are;

Step 1: Launch Rules

Step 2: Identify Prizes
Step 3: Apply the Rules

During my TP, I lunched rules at my first lesson with

football area activity. Its a poster of a chart for 20
students to make them behave well. First, I placed my
rules to students; as much as they do well in the class,
they get sticker. While, misbehave students will token
off a sticker from him. Then I used it during the class,
the students were challenging each other to get stickers.
At the end of the class I reward students with small
balls that the boys
liked it. The important step is applying rules since
some of the teachers are not fare
with some students.
The teacher should
be balance or the
students will misbe-

Lining up entering the classroom is the key of effective behavior management since its the first activity that the teacher
used at her lesson. If the children know to be organize when
they start things they will fill their time with organize behaves. Moreover, by lining up routines the teacher will cut
misbehave students acts which will save time and make students focus and under control. As well, lining up will help also
in fires and natural disasters situations.
Vygotskys faith on What is learned must be
taught (Wilhelm, 2001, p. 8) so teacher must teaches her
students about lining up procedures by;

Push your chair in

Walk one by one to the

line area

hands like superman

Be quite like superman

Connecting lining up to characters and heros that kids like

make them copy the movements fast and learn better. For
example, when I was teaching grade 3 classes I linked some of
heros names as Superman and Spiderman to motivate students learning to line up. It takes 3 classes 3 times in each
class to get the line well since routines make students memorize steps faster. When I told them to line up before they were
running pushing each other but after the procedures they become calmer. Besides, its become more safer than before.

Making students seating alone is

absolutely different to make
them sitting with others as peers
or groups. Students who are sitting alone feel that they are on
their own world so it will be better to make this setting arrangement only on exams. Moreover,
peers can make students talk and
make noise during the lesson which make groups be
the best for teachers. Since that groups encourage
skills as helping others, improving leadership, sharing
information, being aware of their colleague weakness
and assisting him.
Teachers can use name labels and stick it on tables if
they want the class be arranged into specific way and
put a leadership in each group (PLB, n.d.) . Glassers
sees that the students need to realize for themselves
that incorrect behavior affects not only themselves but
those around them as well (Cooke, 1995).
Be aware; placing a leadership who is responsible for the
whole group misbehaving for
more than one weak may
increase the misbehaving so
because of that it have to
changed daily each weak or
less.

In my TP, the basic problem that I got to it was the

misbehaving in the classroom and after an observation on grade3/1 English classes and science class I
figured out the solution key. The setting arrangement
in the English was always in carpets on the floor unless they had exams while in science class they sit on
groups. I changed their setting arrangements and laid
some labels with their names and put one leadership
for each week so they become calmer.
