Educational Philosophy

I believe education is the main thing that is important to develop any

country in the world. As the education can increase the literacy, make
the country evolve. Furthermore, there are some things that I believe in
them and I will talk about it in this philosophy. My beliefs are, teach by
using different learning styles, provide feedback to students, apply
classroom management, and get the students interact in class more.
Learning style:
For my class, I make sure to use different learning styles in activities
and while explaining a new lesson. Thats because there are students
who learn in using different learning styles. In the class, I always make
sure to have activities that contain different learning styles in it. For
instance, I used power point to show pictures with words. So power point
have the visual learning style as students see the pictures and learn from
it. Play a video that has pictures and sound thats for both visual and
auditory can help students who are visual and auditory learners. The last
thing use activities that make students move and use their hands to
finding the similar pictures or act a job, and other students guess. This
activity for kinesthetic learners as those learners understand more by
working with their hands. All those learning styles together help the
students to learn better in class. Different learning styles support
students different requirements in learning (Liu and Reed, 1995).
Feedback:

I believe that providing feedback can help students understand what

they need to develop. The feedback can be given by teacher as written
or oral for the students work. There are advantages of feedback as
students will know if they are doing correct or need help to develop. For
example, student write a word, and it's have mistaken in a letter, the
teacher can tell him to practice more and show him the error. This will
make students fix their mistakes and practice more on their weakness
(Poulos and Mahony , 2008). Moreover, I encourage the students like
saying well done so they will feel confident. As a result of positive
feedback, the students will become better in the lessons and help the
teacher while teaching (Ramsden, 1992).giving feedback after students
talk can help the student to know their mistakes. As a result the
feedback should be right after the student work so they can work on it.
Classroom management:
I believe that using classroom management can help me control the
misbehaving in the class and have a suitable place to learn. I think good
classroom management can provide a suitable place to learn. For
example, I use strategies to get students attention like counting 1, 2, 3
eyes on me. I make sure to give them the rules and remind the students
from time to time to make sure they follow it. Moreover, I use points for
each group to make them follow the rules. This strategy works most of
the time, but for this strategy, I prepare gifts to encourage the class to
behave good and participate. As a result from using classroom
management, it will save time and make student ready to learn (Sieberer

Nagler, 2015). I think students misbehave because they want to attract

our attention to them. Therefor we need to make students work more in
class so they dont have the chance to misbehave.
Involve students in learning:
My last belief is to get students interact in the class more. As
getting the students more in classwork gives them the time to practice
speaking English and to depend on themselves. Also, students
understanding will increase because they do the most work and practice
in class. For example, I let the students participate while doing the
review for the last lesson. The students have to act the job, and the other
students should guess the job. Moreover, I gave students groups and
individual activities and let them work and practice speaking English
(Davies, 2011). So in my class, i make sure to involve the students while
teaching.

Conclusion
Education is important as it help the country to develop and grow.
Education can make people learn new things like other languages and
other subjects. Learning happens when there is a favorable environment
that helps the students to learn. For me, teaching is to teach the next
generation of my country. My goal is to make students in Ras AlKhaimah
better than what they are now. In my opinion, I want to change the old
way of teaching and use new ways. I would like to do things that make

students work in class and at the same time enjoy doing it. I hope that I
became a teacher who can be a good example for my students.
