Class Meeting Days/Times/Location: This is an online course. Work at your own pace
on your own schedule. No testing centers are needed.
Required Material: Launch Pad. See the last page of syllabus. This is the textbook
requirement for the course. No other materials are required.
Important Dates:
First Day Attendance: Due by Tuesday, August 30th at 11:59pm.
Common Assessment: Due by Friday, October 28th at 11:59pm.
Final Exam: Due by Friday, December 16th at 11:59pm.
Holidays: Holidays do not affect the due dates of any assignments for this online course.
Plan on completing your assignments accordingly.
Pacing Schedule:
All assignments are due at 11:59pm. Grades will submit automatically at this time, even
if you are working on them. Note that chapters have both a quiz and homework
component to complete. You can see all the assignment due dates on Launch Pad.
Assignments
Types of Assignments:
First Day Attendance: The first day attendance is a task required by the university. For
the online course, the task is to sign up for Launch Pad by the due date listed above.
Students who do not sign up for Launch Pad in time will be dropped from the course.
Homework: Homework is assigned on Launch Pad. Homework is always due on Friday
at 11:59pm. NO EXTENSIONS!
The homework assignments are called Learning Curves. Each correct answer fills up a
progress bar. You must fill the bar to get 100% on the assignment. A 0% is assigned if the
bar is not filled.
Quizzes: Quizzes are assigned on Launch Pad. Quizzes are always due Friday at
11:59pm. NO EXTENSIONS!
Each quiz can be taken THREE times. The highest scores of the three attempts will be
counted.
Tests: See Common Assessment and Final Exam below. There are no other tests.
Final Exam: The Final Exam will appear on Launch Pad on Saturday, December 10th at
12:00am. No one is allowed to take the Final Exam earlier than this date (this is an FSU
policy). There is a Practice Final Exam (worth no credit) available the entire semester. It
has the same format (number of questions, content, etc.) as the Final Exam. You can take
it as many times as you want for practice.

Late Work:
Absolutely NO late work is accepted without documentation. Since this is an online
course, students must plan ahead on completing work.
Missed assignments will receive a 0%.
Grade Appeals:
Errors in grades MUST be reported within one week of the due date of the assignment in
question. Absolutely no grades will be adjusted after the final week in the course.
