December 1st, 2016 (Moncton, NB) The Capitol Theatre, in partnership with the New Brunswick

Youth Orchestras Tutta Musica is proud to announce the cast list for the musical Oliver! This
professional musical theatre production will be presented at the beautiful Capitol Theatre from
February 25 to March 5, 2017. Tickets are already going fast!
Following several months of auditions, Director Marshall Button and Musical Director Tony Delgado
are thrilled to finally unveil the cast list. The casting team was overwhelmed by the high calibre of
talent among the people who auditioned. We went all the way to Toronto to make sure we found the
best talent out there. We went into it with an open mind and were pleased to find that local talent not
only compared, but often exceeded what we saw in Toronto said Marshall Button. Last years
production of The Sound of Music was a great learning opportunity for young actors and their
professionalism showed during the audition process. Actors that were part of last years musical
were the most prepared during the audition, added Button. The opportunity for a child actor to play
the lead role in a professional musical production is very unique, which brought us to the decision of
casting two actors in the role of Oliver, and two actors in the role of the Artful Dodger.
Cast (in order of appearance):
Oliver: lodie Gallant and Lauren Hale (shared)
Fagin: Blair Lawrence

Once again, the casting team is pleased to say that children cast in the lead roles are all current or
former students of the Capitol School of Performing Arts; a testament to the quality of the instruction
offered at the school. Members of the production team who worked on last years smash success of
The Sound of Music are back again this year. They are: Costume Designer Michael McArdle, Video
Designer Kevin McIntyre, Set Designer Sylvain Ward and Lighting Designer Andrew Williams, led by
