A day in the life of a science coordinator / teacher:


Sunday, 6\11\2016
For this task I mentor a day in the life of a Science teacher which is my MST. This day is the most day that my
MST not having a lot of work on and this because her schedule only includes 3 classes for girls. 2 for Math and
1 for Science. Each Sunday my MST feel that she should take rest and plan only a little bit because her schedule
for the rest of the week is very busy and have a lot of classes for both sections 5a and 5b. I start mentoring her
from the moment that she enters the staff room until she signed to go to the home. During the day, I was
following her by attending all the classes and attending all the duties that she have. Also, by sitting with her in
the staff room and not leaving the staff room, Im giving myself more chance to mentor her actions and
activities during the day. Especially, that they this day includes the less number of classes during the whole
week, so, she will do more activities in the staffroom by sitting on her own office.

Ending the previous lesson

MST organized her desk by separating the student's


books that she finished correcting them and the
books that still not corrected.
MST attended to the class, taking the attendance,
distributing the locker keys and collecting the
homework and project papers.
MST took the students in the corridor to stand and
sing the national anthem. (Encouraging them by
telling them that if they sing in a good way, they will
take rewards)
MST applied a quiz for 15 minutes about the
previous lesson that about the skeletal system.

MST planning for the lesson, drinking Nescafe,


eating breakfast, correcting books and the quiz
papers.
2 Math lessons 5A- girls MST explain a lesson about fractions.

MST preparing the materials that she will use in the


Science lesson. Testing the website that includes the
5es before the beginning of the lesson. Brining a
body anthropomorphic to show the cells, tissues,
organs and system.
MST go to the canteen to mentor the students and
manage them to not go out the canteen during the
break time. MST was mentoring whos not eating to
write in their diaries and tell their parents to deal
with the issue.
MST give a lesson about the key terms of cells,
tissue, organs and system.

Waiting for 2 students

Letting the students organize their staff and taking


all the materials that they should take. Make a line
and take them to the GYM where they are waiting
for their parents to take them to the home.
Two parents arrived late, so, MST waits for them
until they come and take their child.

MST collected her staff, sign out and go home.
