Climate change

Thesis: Air pollution and other man made gases affect climate change
Floods, hurricanes, and tornados imagine those natural disasters twice as strong as
they are now. Air pollution harms the ozone layer of the earth and effect the temperature also
causing natural disasters to be even stronger. Ways that help prevent air pollution and climate
change are recycling and using bikes more instead of cars, also using reuseable things instead of
just throwing them away such as cups and plates. Water levels rise each year due to the amount
of air pollution that goes into the atmosphere. Many environmentalist are worried about warmer
weather each year and glaciers melting, and the theory of man made climate change.
Global warming is the rise in average global surface temperature caused by the build up
of human produced greenhouse gases which is mostly carbon dioxide and methane. Scientists are
trying to find better ways to prevent air pollution and climate change, but there will continue to
be no effective policy or warnings until scientists find more evidence or reasons for the change
of climate(Bowman, Morley, David ).. However are still organizations that help cut down on air
pollution such as Sierra Club, Greenpeace, and The Environmental Protection Agency. These
local organizations concentrate on particular air pollution problems that are found in their local

area. Some ways you can help reduce pollution and help your community are not using cars as
often and cleaning up environmental damage and supporting governmental change.
About 80% of the 3,496 disasters of the last decade were due to flooding and storms. Sea
levels are rising and so are extreme rain storms this is due to the weather changing (Witherbee).
Warmer temperatures increase the amount of water vapor that enters the atmosphere which mean
more rain and better chances of flooding and a more heated atmosphere. As temperatures
continue to rise more and more water vapor evaporates into the atmosphere and water vapor is
the fuel to storms. As the weather keeps getting warmer it melts glaciers and is also another way
sea levels rise.
One of the most dire impacts to climate change is a rise in the global sea level caused by
the melting of glaciers. Sea levels can also rise by the water temperature rising, sea levels have
risen three inches over the past 20 years that's per year. The problem with ice glaciers melting
is that it can accelerate through time giving it an uncertain rate. Many environmentalists are
worried of the theory of manmade climate change which is air pollution and all the factories and
greenhouse gasses going into the atmosphere.
Climate is an important topic but still people don't take it serious despite all the data and
the drastic changes over the past years. This is why scientists are worried and trying to find better
ways to help prevent air pollution. Also, organizations try and do a part by helping out their local
community and supporting government change. People don't have to be in an organization to
help, anyone can help by not using your car as much and using reusable things.
