LESSON OBJECTIVE:
Given access to a computer, TSW create a comic using relative pronouns or adverbs with 80% accuracy
Given access to a computer, TSW explaining the relative pronoun or adverb they used in their comic using
Screencast-O-Matic with 80% accuracy.
Given access to a computer, TSW upload their Screencast-O-Matic to their Weebly with 100% accuracy.

BACKGROUND and RATIONALE:
The key concepts of this lesson include creating a comic, applying their knowledge of Screencast-O-Matic to
makes a video to describe their comic, and uploading the video to their Weebly.
Academic Language

This lesson is building the students ability to work on different types of technology.
I plan on building upon this lesson by adding more web technology sites to the students Weebly.
Differentiated Activities: For students who have learning disabilities, they will be paired up with their assigned
partner. Together they will create one comic together, both speak on the Screencast, and upload it to their own
Weeblys. For students with speech impairments, they can write up a word document describing their comic and
upload the document to their Weebly.
Procedures:
- TTW hand out Relative Pronoun and Adverb Information Sheet. (1 min)
- TTW give students their assigned log in and password information. (1 min)
- TTW go over directions on how to create a Comic. (2 min)
- TTW go over directions on how to create a Screencast- O- Matic (2min)
- TTW go over directions on how to upload their Screencast-O-Matic on to Weebly. (2 min)
- TSW begin their assignment by creating a relative pronoun or relative adverb comic. (25 min)
- TSW save their comic.
- TSW go onto Screencast-O-Matic and record a 1 minute long video of them explaining their comic
and the relative pronouns or adverbs they used. (10 min)
- TSW save their Screencast-O-Matic.
- TSW upload their Screencast-O-Matic to their Weebly using the Embed Code. (5 min)
- TSW compete the Relative Pronoun and Adverb Matching Handout. (2 min)

Closure:
TTW ask the students if they have any more question on relative pronouns and relative adverbs. (1
min)
TTW make a joke about relative pronouns- Uncle That, Aunt Which, and Cousins Who, Whom, and
Whose. (1 min)
TSW turn in Relative Pronoun and Adverb Matching Handout as their exit ticket. (2 min)
ASSESSMENT EVIDENCE:
A handout on relative pronoun and relative adverbs will be provided as their exit ticket.
MODIFICATIONS:

For students who have not mastered the objectives, the last 30 minutes of class will be set aside for more
questions and help from the teacher to see if one and one time will help them understand the lesson more.
Students who are ready for enrichment can make one comic on relative pronouns and one on relative
adverbs.
