Marriage

Hazrat Khadija needed someone to go to Syria with her merchandise. She sent him for his good qualities
and he brought good profits. She sent a marriage proposal and Abu Talib accepted it for him. They had 6
children, but only the youngest daughter (Fatimah) survived. Hazrat Khadija died at the age of 65 in AD
621. She was buried in Makkah.
Call of Prophethood
When the Prophet became aware of the corrupt society and pagans he began to retire to a cave. He did
not have a method of worship but he could feel the existence of a supreme being. As he approached the
age of 40 he began to retire to the cave more and more. One day the Angel Hazrat Jibrael came to the
Prophet and asked him to read, the Prophet replied with and said that he could not. Then the Angel
hugged him tightly, suffocating the Prophet. This continued once more and then the Prophet asked what
he shall read. The Angel told him that he was a messenger of Allah. Then the Prophet went to his wife,
who directed him to her cousin, a Christian Scholar, Warqa bin Naufal. Warqa confirmed that this was the
Angel that approached previous prophets for prophethood.
There came a time when the Hajr al-Aswad was to be placed in the Ka'bah but there was a debate over
who would do it. Hazrat Muhammad PBUH resolved this issue by using his amazing skills. He placed the
black stone on a square cloth. He asked the leaders to hold the corners and lift it up to a certain height.
After that the Prophet helped it be placed in the Ka'bah and the issue was resolved quickly.
