INTRODUCTION :-

The Vehicle Management System (VMS) is an application for automobile industry. It

supports, in the area of Sales & Services, the business processes that you requie as
vehicle importer when dealing with your Original Euipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
and your dealers in new and used vehicle sales. VMS offers you complete
integration of all the relevant processes such as procurement, sales, rework, returns
processing, trade in and service processing. It also supports the archiving of
vehicle data.
This Vehicle Management Application is economically and technically feasable. It is
found that the application development and implementation are technically and
feasable. So the corresponding authority (may be the State Transport Authority)
gives a green signal for application development.

OBJECTIVES :-

The Vehicle Management System (VMS ) is the Proactive management science of

using and maintaining a fleet of vehicles in such a fashion that whilst spending the
minimum amount of money , a Vehicle manager is able to offer his/her users
maximum flexibility , availability and reliability. VMS has been developed in
conjunction with the Transport Industry in an effort to provide a total web-based
solution for Maintenance, Operational and Administrative Controls in any vehicle
situation. The competitive nature of our transport world today requires that we
manage all aspects of the transport business. The VMS includes customers

resources, the vehicles that play an integral part in delivering your products and
services to the customer.

The main objective of Vehicle Management Systems is to enhance and

upgrade the existing system by increasing its efficiency and effectiveness.
The software improves the working methods by replacing the existing manual
system with the computer-based system.

The Vehicle Management Systems provides the uses a quick response with
very accurate information regarding the users etc. Any details or system in an
accurate manner, as and when required.

The software Vehicle Management Systems has a very user-friendly interface.

Thus the users will feel very easy to work on it. The software provides
accuracy along with a pleasant interface.Make the present manual system
more interactive, speedy and user friendly.

Reduce the cost of maintenance.

The Vehicle Management Systems automates each and every activity of the
manual system and increases its throughput. Thus the response time of the
system is very less and it works very fast.
