Abstract
Education was established to help give a child a core understanding of knowledge that
will help them throughout their lives. I intend on going into the teaching field, because I want to
make a positive difference in the lives of others. I want to support myself, my children;
meanwhile, have a rewarding career in the field.

Education was established to help give a child a core understanding of knowledge that
will help them throughout their lives. I intend on going into the teaching field, because I want to
make a positive difference in the lives of others. I want to support myself, my children;
meanwhile, have a rewarding career in the field. I know that this will give me the security that
my children will need, yet I will be an example of obtaining an education and having a rewarding
career. My role as a future educator is to be a positive role model inside and outside of the
classroom. We need to respect and follow all the laws of the land. When this is done we
demonstrate that we are following the laws and hope that our students will see this as well.
When I teach my role is to have high expectations for all students, so that they can learn
and succeed. This will demonstrate that they can do things and perform well if I believe in their
ability to do so. I will be expected to design learning activities that are motivating and engaging
to my students. This will help keep them interested in what is being taught too them. I will make
a special effort to develop positive relationships will all my students. I will seek to have parents
highly involved with their students, and what is going on in the classroom.
I understand that there will be a various majority individuals in the classroom from
various backgrounds and cultures. I also know that there will be some individuals who will have
language differences, learning exceptionalities, individuals who are at different levels of their
peers. I will treat every individual as a person without treating them differently, but have set
goals that I know they can achieve. I will teach the same material in various ways for those who
learn in the analytical, holistic, to visual learners this will make the material of what is being
taught more relevant to them.

As a student, they are going to be subject to learning new information, self motivated,
and are eager to learn new information, and perform to what is expected of them. I will expect
students to do as well as they can and behave in a respectful manor with one another. I know that
there will be a few individuals who will have learning exceptionalities and will need to be treated
differently from their peers. I will give a direction for what I expect for the class and then spend
some one on one instruction with the individual on something they can do.
I would like to use the epistemology approach to teaching by asking students questions
that deal with knowledge and questions. I would likely use this in Science when we go over the
scientific method, observation, and experimentation process when conducting an experience. In
social situations where there was a difference of ideals or mistreatment of individuals I will
discuss different ideals and help students know that treatment isnt alright in the classroom. I
will use the metaphysics approach to teaching by teaching what we know and being optimistic
when doing so. I will explain that the values and ethics that is expected of them while in the
classroom. I will cover the basics of them using logic to see how they think about the world
around them by helping them understand the basic principles to drawing conclusions.
Although the progressive philosophy of education has not been used in a while in the
classroom I do think that by using this approach to help students learn by meeting the physical,
intellectual, social, and emotional needs to be used today. In the use of this educational
philosophy and using essentialism, I do think this will help establish a more interesting
curriculum for my students. Of course I will work with my fellow coworkers by using the same
methods that they use in their curriculum. This will make the curriculum more solid on the
material that is covered, but everyone will have their own style of teaching. This makes teaching
and education so different is how teachers lecture their students.
