Excerpts (Include three embedded quotes.): Dance/movement psychotherapy is a total approach that reconnects physical and emotional expression with therapy objectives by working directly with body states, feeling, cognition and lifestyle to confront human suffering and mobilize human potential, Anna Krantz said. Chronic tension, apathy, anxiety, depression, malaise and disconnection from natural expressive movement drained individual power and creativity, Krantz says. Overreliance on thinking and worrying with loss of agency in meaningful action in life became normal and widespread. Krantz explains, Movement is an inherent aspect of life and health, but each individuals needs are unique to their particular circumstances, desires and life situations. Commentary and Analysis (Explain how the quotes above prove one of your three points.): Most people would agree that dancing in general improves their mood. Letting loose to a rhythmic beat, many look at dancing as an outlet. Introduced in the mid 20th century it was brought to be what it is by combining creative dance innovation, psychoanalytic theory, and strong social consciousness otherwise known as Dance/movement psychotherapy. Regular Dance/Movement therapy is currently in 40 different countries and the American Dance Therapy Association has been going strong for 50 years. Dance therapists serve as: licensed psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and counselors. People who want to purse dance/movement therapy dont need to have previous experience but simply a desire to face their problems with the use of words and their body. Many EDM fans dance for the possible reasons listed in the quote above (anxiety, depression, and etc.) and because the community itself is a no judge zone, there is more space to be openly you. Culture, religion, politics, and the overall ideologies that dominate a community influence whether the death penalty will remain law. In more conservative states, the death penalty is more prevalent. Interestingly, at Michigans constitutional convention in the 1960s, some argued that those who were executed were predominantly poor and of racial minorities. If valid, this is concerning as it indicates corruption in the system (a system that can end life). If the death penalty remains, more efforts must be taken to ensure the quality and fairness of the justice system through which they will be punished.
