Research ability aligned to the Schools research interests in Statistics

Strong potential to produce high quality research outputs.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, with both students and staff.

Ability to teach effectively at all levels, including lecturing large classes.

Interest in students, and an ability to motivate them.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently.

DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS

Demonstrated record of research achievement.

Experience teaching statistics at the tertiary level.

A PhD, or equivalent, in an area of Statistics or a related field

Demonstrated research ability that supports the Schools research interests in Statistics

Demonstrated record of research achievements, as evidenced by some of the following: published work in high quality
journals or leading international conferences, success in attracting externally funded research grants.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, with both students and staff.

Ability to teach effectively at all levels, including lecturing large classes.

Interest in students, and an ability to motivate them.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently.

DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS

Ability to attract funded research projects to the School.

Ability to attract honours and postgraduate students to the School.

Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at all levels, including lecturing large classes.
