Social Studies with Mrs. McKinney

A parent meeting will be held in the near future so be on the lookout for the
date. We are very proud of our shining 8 grade students who put their best
foot forward to show up on time consistently, wearing a uniform, and
completing assignments on time. Thank You!!! I want to especially acknowledge
our 8 grade students of the month Nakiyah Callon and Janae Keys for their
efforts in and outside of the classroom. Keep up the great work ladies!

Additionally, for the 2 quarter in Social Studies we will focus on writing and
evaluating argumentative essays based on current events. Students will be
required to complete a research-based project this quarter and give a
presentation for grades 6-8. In Science, students will focus on Physical
Science with an emphasis on Chemical Reactions. Students will be required to
complete a science based performance project for the 2 quarter and a
rubric will be shared at a later date.
