Presentation of New Material/Directions:

-Once students are settled and attention is on teacher,
then explain.
-As a team your goal is to get 3 in a row before the other
team does.
-The first person in line will run out with the first ball and
put it in a spot.
-The next person will wait for the first person to come
back and give them a high give and then the second
person will run out with the second ball and put that ball
in a spot.
-Then the third person will go out and put the third ball in
a third spot.
-After all of the balls are on the board then each student
takes turns running out and moving the balls trying to
form three in a row with their color of balls.
-Each person may only move ONE ball for each turn.
-Teams will continue to do this until one team gets three
in a row.
SAFETY:
-There will be fast running toward the game to set the
balls down so make sure you are slowing down as you
get closer to the game board so you dont overrun and
run into the other person.
-You have to wait for the person in front of you to come
back and tag your hand or give you a high five before
you may run out.
CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING:
-How many people should be running out to change the
ball formation at a time?
-How do you let the next person in line know they can
go?
-How many in a row do you need to win?
-12 balls/beanbags
Activity:
-4 cones
There will be four cones, one under each basketball
-8 jump ropes
hoop. The game board will be set out at half court for
the two courts.
Possible Modifications:
-Make it two in a row to win the game instead of three
-Move them farther away from the game board
Lesson Review:
Questions
-What is something you do that showed you had good
sportsmanship
-What is something you saw someone else doing that
