City Mayors, Municipal Mayors, Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers,
Regional Directors (COA). Corporation Auditors, Bureau Auditors, Provincial/City
Auditors and Others Concerned.

SUBJECT : List of Government Offices which shall be issued Ordinary High Private
Registration Number Plates (Security Plates for Use on Government Vehicles
(Suppletory to Commission on Audit Circular No. 75-6 dated November 7, 1975).
For information and guidance of all concerned, quoted here is the letter of the
Commissioner of Land Transportation Commission dated January 7, 1976, with its enclosure, a
copy of the Memorandum of the Presidential Executive Assistant, dated January 2, 1976,
containing the list government offices which shall be issued ordinary high private registration
number plates (security plates) for use on government vehicles for the current year:

Enclosed please find the memorandum from the Presidential Executive
Assistant regarding security motor vehicle plates to be used on government
vehicles, for your information and guidance.

The Presidential Executive Assistant

Please be informed that your recommendation for the issuance of


ordinary high private registration number plates (security plates) for use on
government motor vehicles for current year is hereby approved, as follows:
1.

The Department of National Defense and the Presidential Security


Command - the number to be determined by the Security of
National Defense and the Commanding General, respectively;

2.

Office of the Secretaries, regular departments and equivalent - not


more than three (3) sets;

3.

Offices of the Undersecretaries - not more than two (2) sets;

4.

Bureaus and Commissions of similar level - not more than two (2)
sets;

5.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Presiding Justice of
the Court of Appeals - two (2) sets each, and

6.

Law Enforcement and intelligence agencies - the number to be


determined by their respective chiefs.

No other security plate shall be issued without prior approval by this


Office.

This circular further supplements Commission on Audit Circular No. 75-6, dated
November 7, 1975, as clarified in Commission on Audit Circular No. 75-6A, dated December 15,
1975.
