EMUA-02
Product Description
The EMUA-02 provides one +24 V DC current-type port to connect a humidity and
temperature sensor. The output current of the sensor ranges from 4 mA to 20 mA. The
temperature detection range is -20C to +80C (-4F to +176F). The humidity detection
range is 0% RH to 100% RH.
The EMUA-02 provides one +24 V DC voltage-type port to connect a smoke sensor. The
smoke monitoring port controls whether smoke alarms need to be cleared, which is
implemented on the base station maintenance terminal.
The EMUA-02 provides one +12 V DC/24 V DC voltage-type port to connect a water
sensor.
The EMUA-02 provides one +12 V DC/24 V DC voltage-type port to connect an infrared
sensor.
The EMUA-02 provides one dry contact-type port to connect a door status sensor.
The EMUA-02 provides one four-line port for monitoring analog signals of different types.
If the connected sensor is a voltage-type sensor, the voltage ranges from 0 V to 5 V. If the
connected sensor is a current-type sensor, the current ranges from 4 mA to 20 mA. The
input signal type is set using the Dual Inline Package (DIP) switch according to the sensor
type configured on the BTS.
The EMUA-02 provides 32 lines for Boolean signal detection. All 32 lines support settings
of valid level for alarms, and eight of these 32 lines support voltage-type Boolean signal
input.

NOTE
l This table defines the pins for transmitting signals to or receiving signals from the EMUA-02.
l When a TXD+ pin is connected to an RXD+ pin, and a TXD- is connected to an RXD- pin, the RS485
port works in two-line mode.
l The EMUA-02 runs normally when only one RS485 line is connected. It is recommended that two
RS485 lines be connected in active/standby mode, and that RS485 line 1 function as the primary line.
The RS232 serial port is used only when the EMUA-02 is debugged.

l When the communications protocol of the EMUA-02 is selected, the setting of the DIP switch
SW_ADDR has a higher priority than the setting on the maintenance terminal.
l You can also set the corresponding detection functions using other DIP switches. However, the settings on
the maintenance terminal have higher priorities than the settings of the DIP switches.

Working Principle
Based on the pyroelectric effect, the 12 V infrared sensor MC-760T detects moving objects using
microwaves and infrared rays.
You can adjust its sensitivity through the DIP switch. For details, see the user guide for the
sensor. The infrared sensor enters the wait state within three minutes after the sensor is powered
on. During this period of time, it cannot generate alarms. After this period of time, the infrared
sensor enters the detection state. It generates an alarm whenever someone enters the equipment
room.

Working Principle
When you press down the button at the top of the door status sensor AGX105F, the reed of the
spring touches pins A and B, as shown in Figure 3-6.
Figure 3-6 Working principle
The door status sensor HO-03A is composed of a reed switch and a ferrous magnetic member.
The reed switch consists of two soft magnetic members that are close to each other. When the
ferrous magnetic member moves close to the reed switch, the soft magnetic members are
magnetized and attracted to each other. When the magnetic field is not present, the reed switch
returns to its original position.

The output voltage is lower than 3.3 V when no moving objects are detected.
The output voltage is higher than 5 V when moving objects are detected.
CAUTION
The fuel level sensor requires high security. Therefore, a customized fuel level sensor is not
recommended. If a customized fuel level sensor must be used, it must meet the requirements for
the operating voltage, output signal type, detection range, operating temperature, insulation
resistance, overpressure, and protection class.
l
Operating voltage: 24 V
Detection range: 0 m to 3 m
