Jorge is drunk
again grumbling on
about the Texaco down the road
and the paycheck burning up in the heart of his old Chevy.
Hes real worked up.
He says,
America owes me a cheap tank o gas!
As a back-breakin,
tax-payin,
law-abidin citizen,
America owes me a cheap tank o gas.
Then he spills his liquor on
Taras dress,
and fouls the air with a belch.
Jorge has never seen
the eagle that chokes on the atmosphere,
the Alaskan grizzly that grins as he snacks
on petroleum fish.
But even still, America owes him
a cheap tank of gas.
As a back-breaking, tax-paying, law-abiding
citizen,
America owes Jorge a cheap tank of gas.
