Why All Lives Matter

Even though they say in the American Declaration of Independence that all people are
created equal, this concept was in the beginning of the Christian belief. As I know, every
individual person has his or her own belief in religions, however, Gods word is that all humans
are equal be they black, white or other races. We are all human beings in the eyes of God.
I think the most important thing that I feel about this topic is that we live in the world,
that is full of hatred, negativity, ignorance and violence and with all those obstacles we have to
find ways to get along and to stop the fighting. Lets hope that all the children would, one day,
get along and not know the difference racially of each other, but rather recognize every one as
friends, relatives or family members.
I wonder if it matters that people find ways to get along and recognize that each one of
us are human beings struggling to achieve what he or she wants, and makes their lives better. We
can try our best to help others to improve their life.
I believe that all the fighting and injustice that we are seeing in our society today, is
dividing the country, rather than helping to pull it together as one nation, indivisible under God
with liberty and justice for all.
United States is a country that is full of different diversity from all over the world, and
those diversities tie people to speak English to have a good common sense and that what makes
America stronger.
In 1983 civil war broke out in Africa in South Sudan, between the North and South.
During that time all of innocent civilian people spread to neighboring countries or to the
unmissed camps as a refugees. When the UN brought them here as a lost boys, imagine how their
lives would be. It will be hard for them to live, because most of them lost their loved ones or
family members, however, they are still hoping for the better tomorrow.

Since I arrived in this country, just imagine how difficult it was, in the beginning to have
people to help me out or to find a common ground to start life. I took a responsibility to live here
and make a living for me and my family. Part of the big problem was because I could not speak
English well so that people could understand me. I decided to work and attended the classes at
the Horizonte School to help me overcome my problem. Now I am in Salt Lake Community
College continuing to reach my potential goals, also to have a good experience and
responsibilities.
Im sure without great people that were encouraging me and saying I have to believe in
myself, because one day would be my day! I wouldnt be where I am now. If I give up Im not
giving up for myself, Im giving up for my family and the country as well. All those strong
words made a huge difference in my life.
All lives matter, regardless of the color of skin. Because we are all human beings and we
all need to love one another without prejudice and discrimination. We know that a lot of
tragedies happened in our communities. It make us very disappointed and no one is very happy
for the killing of another person or family members. Because it hurts our hearts as human beings,
it doesnt matter if we are black, white or Latino. We have to come together to bring the reality
that all lives really do matter.
The president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, once said, no matter your social
status, or how powerful you are, we are all equal. We came here by birth and will leave in
death. (Mandela, Nelson.)
Muhammed Ali, the famous professional boxer once said, Hating people because of
their color is wrong, and it doesnt matter which color is doing the hating, it is just plain wrong.
(Ali, Muhammed.)
We want to see America as a country, where everyone is equal and, given the same
benefits, held by the system of laws. Cultural conflicts arise because of the differences in values
and norms of behavior of people from different cultures. differences create misunderstanding and

can lead to conflict. Sometimes people can prevent cross cultural conflicts by learning about
cultures that they come in contact with. Because of many groups wants to preserve their hearts,
important tools are needed for making relationships better understood. (William, Andro.)
Racism is a big problem we are all facing in U.S. Racism says I am better than you, you are
my inferior. However, that is not true because we are all created equal.
Lately in our country there is a lot of anxiety about immigrants and strangers. They are
too often portrayed as a threat. They are the others. They need to be monitored. This is our
home. This is our country. We belong here. (Eaton, Elizabeth 66)
When we look at the world in this way it isnt possible to see that we, too, are on a
journey; we, too, were once one people; we, are only passing through. The author of Hebrews
Recounting the History of Salvation makes this clear when speaking about our ancestors in faith:
All these died in faith without having received the promises, but from a distance they
were strangers and foreigners on the earth, for people who speak in this way make it clear they
are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of the land that they left behind, they desire a
better country, that is, a heavenly one. (Hebrews 11:13-16).(Eaton, Elizabeth 66)
We dont have a continuing home on earth. We are all migrants. Let us welcome the
stranger, seeing him or her as a fellow traveler, a companion on the way. In the world, especially
in U.S., social inequality and racism are very tough topics. We all need to be able to
communicate and express our emotions toward for one another. Without equality and justice we
are doing harm to ourselves and to our fellow men and women. All equal in God eyes. If we
all get along with each other we can live in peace and harmony.
