TExES Competencies

Competency 002:
The teacher understands student diversity and knows how to plan learning
experiences and design assignments that are responsive to differences among
students and that promote all students learning.
The teacher should be able to assess the students for their many differences and
be able to create their lessons accordingly that will reach each student to get the best
result for all of the students in the classroom.
Competency 004:
The teacher understands student diversity learning processes and factors that
impact student learning and demonstrates this knowledge by planning effective,
engaging instruction appropriate assessments.
The teacher takes the students many learning styles in to account to plan their
lessons accordingly and not just center them on the bubble students.
Competency 005:
The teacher knows how to establish a classroom climate that fosters learning,
equity and excellence and uses this knowledge to create a physical and emotional
environment that is sage and productive.
The teacher takes the students needs at their different developmental stages into
account when planning the lessons and activities for the classroom to keep them
relevant to the students current abilities. The teacher keeps the environment welcoming
for the students developmental stage as well.
Competency 006:
The teacher understands strategies for creating an organized and productive
learning environment and for managing student behavior.
The teacher creates structure around the students in the classrooms that is age
appropriate and creates and organized learning environment that helps to maintain the
students behaviors as well.
