THE PROBLEM OF ETHICS IN THE UNIVERSITY

Ethics plays an important role in everyday life. The term ethics

commonly refers to the rules and principles that define right and
wrong conduct. The universitys role is not merely confined to
teaching ethics but has to be perceived as an ethical institution as
well.
Students are committed to the discovery, propagation of ideas and
knowledge and dissemination of truth. Truth may vary depending on
perspective, gender, culture and other factors, but the ultimate goal
of the university lecturers is to ascertain the truth and share it with
students and peers. Despite this, academicians often face ethical
dilemmas include loyalties to the search for truth about loyalties to
consulting clients, and commitment to remain current in the discipline
with regard to pressures of other duties.
However, one of the biggest problems of the Academy in general is
that many of their teachers do not give much importance to
professional ethics in the performance of their duties. And if they do,
they are not aware that everything they do, in fact, their bad actions
are observed and imitated by students, these being the
Philosophers Stone of the Academy. So I think there should be a
reconstruction of our educational model, in other words, if teachers
are being considered as one of the models, Then it is necessary to
start evaluating factors more other important , as the humanity, the
persons' quality that they are, etc. The trouble with this thinking is
that no matter what you do or how to think, the experience and the
amount of titles described in a curriculum, will always stand out more.
